“We are thrilled and privileged to announce Weightloss Solutions Australia (WLSA) is launching a partnership with a global healthcare leader, King’s College Hospital London Dubai, on the world stage,” says Weightloss Solutions Australia’s CEO, Felicity Cohen.
The partnership brings together state-of-the-art hospital facilities, and a multidisciplinary team of world-class medical experts who offer a full range of tailored weight loss services, and WLSA’s 20 years of experience providing bariatric surgery and proven, research-based programs and care.
“The strategic partnership is focussed on providing patients in Dubai access to the latest weight loss treatments and technologies developed by the Australian company. The partnership will allow patients to benefit from the expertise of both organisations,” says Kings College Hospital London Dubai’s CEO, Kimberley Pierce.
“Obesity is a world-wide disease that has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organisation and affects approximately 1 billion people and can lead to a wide range of diseases, including Type 2 diabetes, some types of cancer and cardiovascular disease, to name just a few.
Reversing obesity is the key to treating most of these conditions,” she says. WLSA and Kings College University Hospital Dubai are formally announcing the partnership at the world’s leading healthcare conference, Arab Health 2023, “where the world of healthcare meets”.
Held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from January 30, to February 2, 2023, Arab Health 2023 will be attended by 100,000-plus healthcare professionals from around the world and features 3,000-plus exhibitors from more than 70 countries.
“The global obesity epidemic is one that needs serious attention to reduce the burden of chronic disease on health systems worldwide,” says Felicity Cohen.
“This partnership is a joining of knowledge and experience in weightloss with exceptional medical expertise,” says Felicity Cohen.
“Together we plan to create a significant impact on patients globally to reduce obesity, medical comorbid conditions and achieve greater quality of life outcomes.”
“King’s is proud to be partnering with WLSA, a company that is based in Australia but provides weight loss and weight management support to many patients globally. Over the years, they have demonstrated that patients that utilise their services not only maintain their weight loss, they are also happier, and generally lead a healthier lifestyle for longer,” says Kimberley Pierce.
“The partnership will focus on helping patients achieve sustainable weight loss through a combination of lifestyle changes, medical interventions, and psychological support. The partnership aims to improve the health and well-being of patients in Dubai and the UAE, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the community.”
The initiative is passionately supported by both Austrade and Trade + Investment Queensland.
“We at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) are pleased to see the partnership agreement between Weight Loss Solutions Australia (WLSA) and Kings College Hospital Dubai that will leverage WLSA’s holistic and multidisciplinary approach towards weight management. These are exactly the sort of partnerships we love to see. A sharing of passion and expertise between Australia and the United Arab Emirates, with a spotlight on a global health issue, and to promote wellness and healthy living,” says the Consul-General Dubai, General Manager -Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan, Ian Halliday.
“This is an exceptional partnership which launches a leading Queensland healthcare business to the world on the largest scale. The new clinic will be a world-class facility, leading the way in reducing the burden of chronic disease on healthcare systems, and for individuals committed to regain their health and lifestyles,” says Trade + Investment Queensland’s Commissioner to the Middle East, Donna Massie
“This is a culmination of decades of hard work, care, research and developing proven weight loss programs,” says Felicity Cohen.
