The team from Alexander Marine Australia will exhibit a stellar line-up representing Ocean Alexander and Galeon Motor Yachts, at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, 20 to 23 May.
Among the current model vessels on show are two Australian Boat Show debuts: the award-winning Galeon 640 FLY and the sensational Ocean Alexander 26R, alongside the Galeon 510 and the extraordinary Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence.
The exceptional Galeon 640 FLY will be a magnet for boaties looking for “all the bells and whistles” in a motor yacht. The “tricked out cruiser” has been hailed a genuine game changer, offering innovations never before seen in the mid-size motor yacht segment.
At 20.8-metres, the 640 FLY won three prestigious international awards in its first year and builds on the ground-breaking success of the smaller Galeon models with the brand’s unique ‘Beach Mode’ – fold out aft side balconies that extend the usable cockpit width to 7 metres wide – and access from the saloon out onto the bow through a revolutionary centerline electric opening windscreen.
Then there’s the huge flybridge with electric soft-top sunroof within her GRP hardtop, and massive aft seating area, midship bar with settee opposite and a massive sunpad.
“The 640 FLY is a fantastic family motor yacht, embodying the best of the best,” says Todd Holzapfel, Director of Alexander Marine Australia.
“It’s the largest vessel in the Galeon range with ‘beach mode’ and offers three or four cabin guest accommodation layout with three ensuites plus a crew cabin. The VIP forward cabin even has its own entry! Then there’s the centreline opening out to the foredeck where you can exit, martini in hand, like James Bond. There’s simply nothing like it in this class.
“Their latest models represent the next generation of Galeon in terms of added recreational space, precision engineering and impeccable European interiors. They perfectly suit the Australian and New Zealand boating lifestyle.”
Making her boat show debut in Australia, from Ocean Alexander, the ground-breaking 26R is a spacious, family-friendly motor yacht designed by the acclaimed Evan K. Marshall.
Featuring sleek lines and chiselled moulding details, the new 26R bridges the gap between the successful 70E and the larger 90R Revolution Series motor yachts.
At a length of 25.45-metres, the 26R is available in enclosed skylounge and open flybridge layouts. The enclosed model comprises a spacious all-weather skylounge, whereas the open version features the helm station protected via a glass windscreen which is open to the elements on each side, then flowing to a spacious seating area and large bar.
With a beam of 6.29-metres, the vertical bow of the 26R adds significant volume to the forward VIP cabin permitting a walk-around island bed and walk-in robe. The full-beam master with supersized picture windows boasts dual walk-in robes and full-beam master ensuite with heated marble floors!
Other notable design features include her large saloon windows and numerous seating areas for guests to recline, dine and socialise.
The skylounge has an exterior alfresco lounging area, barbecue grill and jacuzzi. There is also a generously sized seating area and sunpads on the foredeck where an optional shade system can be installed.
“The new Ocean Alexander 26R is unlike anything available in Australia and New Zealand and we’re confident it will strike a chord with cruising families,” says Todd.
“The 26R represents a significant break with ’tradition’. This yacht is designed to meet the modern requirements of family boating lifestyles, whether that’s entertaining, enjoying the views, watching a movie, fishing, swimming or long-range cruising.”
The 510 Skydeck is the natural evolution of the award-winning Galeon 500 FLY, which was sold by Alexander Marine Australia earlier this year. The 16.2-metre (53-feet) Galeon 510 Skydeck takes innovation one step further with its ability to combine the advantages of a bridge deck with the distinct, sporty look of a hardtop.
Within a few short minutes a spacious open air flybridge area and helm station can be configured, simply and conveniently, without removing and stowing away multiple covers. This remarkable versatility earnt the 510 Skydeck the World Yacht Trophy award for Innovative Design at the 2016 Cannes Yachting Festival.
At the stern of the vessel buyers can opt for the tradition L-shaped sofa under which is a handy utility room, or the innovative roto-seat option that permits the cockpit seating to rotate and face aft under. The roto-seat configuration is complete with a compact tender garage! Both stern options allow for the outstanding ‘Beach Mode’, extending the cockpit width to an incredible 6 metres.
Then, carving a niche for itself in the luxury dayboat and console segments, the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence will wow visitors to SCIBS with its alluring profile and near limitless applications.
Drawing on the design hallmarks and pedigree of Ocean Alexander’s larger yachts, the 45 Divergence combines superyacht finesse with robust performance, powered by quad 350hp Mercury Verado outboard engines.
At an overall length of 47ft with a 13ft beam, the Ocean Alexander 45 Divergence has a capacity of up to 18 people and features unprecedented levels of luxury for a boat its size.
The foredeck has a large twin sunbed, seating and table. Aft, there is comfortable lounge seating and a dining table which conveniently lowers to floor level when it’s not required. The barbeque, sink, fridge and icemaker set-up is ideal for entertaining, while at the helm, there are three helm seats and an ergonomic control panel.
At anchor, hydraulic gunwales fold out to expand the cockpit’s usable recreation space and enhance a unique alfresco dining experience. Concealed swim ladders also make it the ideal day boat for all water sports.
Belowdecks, the sense of space and quality of finishes are second to none. The cabin comprises dining table with banquette seating that convert to a double berth with adjacent toilet and shower room.
“There’s a real appetite in Australia and New Zealand for a powerful, versatile outboard-powered boat that does double duty as an adventure vessel and luxury day boat,” said Mr Holzapfel.
“The 45 Divergence is a superb luxury sport boat which combines performance and style.”
Alexander Marine Australia will host a media briefing during SCIBS and looks forward to catching up with its VIP clients and owners. Information will be available on the recent international launches, including the Ocean Alexander 27E, which is a 27-metre explorer vessel with a cruising range up to 2,100 nautical miles; the 32L and 36L, representing the Legend Series, attaining a new level of luxury; and the feature-laden Galeon 325 GTO which is the brand’s first foray into outboard power, already among its best-selling models in Europe and the US.
“The Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show is our ‘home show’ and always successful for us,” comments Todd. “Our line-up won’t disappoint! We are looking forward to being back at SCIBS, enjoying the crowds and camaraderie, the atmosphere and the genuine love of boating we all share.”
