A Queensland-based developer is making its first foray into the Northern New South Wales property market, laying plans for a sub-tropical colonialism -inspired residential oasis in the sought-after beachside enclave of Casuarina.

Azure has lodged a development application for a high-end mix of 91 ultra-luxe coastal resort mixture of bespoke luxury resort styled apartments and terrace homes, to meet the demand for designer residential product in the unique region.

Earmarked for a site at 6 Grand Parade, Casuarina, the project will employ a world class standard of design to create a landmark piece of architecture set among its idyllic coastal surrounds.

Comprising of four interconnected buildings centred around a sub-tropical courtyard pool area, the project will deliver a mix of spacious residences. Three of its buildings will rise 4-storeys each, while the western building will rise just two stories.

“Our vision for the Grand Parade site is to deliver something of lasting significance – to create a distinct and bold interpretation of a classic coastal place of international recognition while being authentically grounded,” said Trent Keirnan, Director of Azure Development.

The bespoke design will be characterised by a soaring colonnade and strong facades, coastal colour palettes, and tropical landscaping to convey a sense of worldly luxury.

Azure has made its inroads to the Casuarina market at a time when demand for quality product in the region has reached fever pitch, as vacancy rates drop to a record low of 0.5 per cent.

“Figures show that vacancy rates are at an all-time low, underpinning the need for quality residences to meet the beachside haven’s continued population growth,” said Mr Keirnan.

“It is a rare opportunity to enter the Casuarina property market, so there is no doubt that our 6 Grand Parade project will be a once in a lifetime development and a truly exclusive offering.”

Mr Keirnan says the architectural design of the development will encapsulate “eclectic Anglo Caribbean and Island Colonialism styles,” while incorporating aspects of Casuarina’s natural coastal environment, laid back village atmosphere and natural wellness and activeness.

“Casuarina’s desirable coastal living features and atmosphere will be embraced and celebrated in the design and experience of the development, inclusive of the buildings sustainability,” he said.

The high-end project will be designed for the local and interstate owner-occupier market alongside astute holiday home investors.

Azure is a privately owned real estate development and investment company founded in 2014. Today the company is a fully integrated development business with a construction, property management and maintenance division responsible for the delivery of more than 900 dwellings across Queensland.
