One of the Gold Coast’s most loved personalities, Melanie Symons, will present new digital series to launch this month to help buyers, sellers, property investors and tenants on their real estate journey.

The series is being produced by LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast, which comprises six offices spanning from Nerang to Ormeau.

Under the banner of ‘LJ Hooker Solutions GC TV’, Ms Symons will be hosting an integrated online series, to screen across social platforms, YouTube and LJ Hooker websites, on all things real estate including tips for buying or selling, anecdotes from people on their real estate journey, as well as ‘Home Hacks’, a series of renovating and styling tips to improve the home.

Ms Symons said she’s excited about the series, which is allowing her to tap into her passion for all-things real estate and the Gold Coast.

“For more than 25 years I’ve been presenting lifestyle shows but it’s the first time I’ve been asked to really dive deep into what I love, which is real estate and the communities in which we live, work and play,” she said.

“I’ll be sharing tips for buying and selling, interviewing experts on the state of the market and people on their real estate journey and, for a series titled ‘My Neighbourhood’, local personalities and business owners, to unearth the hidden gems of the Gold Coast and the untold stories behind them.”

Some of Ms Symon’s credits include Totally Wild, Saturday Disney, along with presenting lifestyle shows – Ground Force, Australia’s Best Backyards, How Does Your Garden Grow and Great Summer Ideas and, more recently, hosting the popular Channel 7 travel shows Sydney Weekender, Creek to Coast and Weekender TV.

LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast, which launched on 1 January 2021, comprises LJ Hooker offices at Nerang, Pacific Pines, Helensvale, Hope Island, Coomera and Ormeau. The offices came together under the one banner to bolster their market presence and service offering.

The group includes 120 real estate professionals with an award-winning support team who work together to deliver premium results for their clients.

LJ Hooker Solutions GC TV is their first targeted consumer campaign.

LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast Director, Shane Colquhoun, said the series came about as the team wanted to offer more than the stereotypical styled real estate videos.

“We wanted a way to deliver valuable advice on all things real estate and to connect with the communities that make up the Gold Coast,” he said.

“From there, the idea quickly evolved to an online series where we could deliver our content to social platforms which is where our consumers spend hours researching their real estate journey.

“We were honoured that a TV personality of Mel’s caliber came on board as a brand ambassador and presenter for LJ Hooker Solutions Gold Coast.

“Like us, Mel has a passion for real estate and the Gold Coast. She was the first choice for the role and a perfect fit culturally for our network and clients.

“The Gold Coast market is surging and we’re seeing record enquiry from people in Sydney and Melbourne who have decided now is the time to make a lifestyle change.

“The series is a way of showing them, and the local community, what the Gold Coast is made of and guide them through the real estate process.”
