Making Magic In Business

How the Magic Group in Business (MGIB) and MGIB Women are generating new opportunities and helping businesses

Designed to formally connect the business community, cultivate relationships and facilitate real leads and opportunities, the MGIB offers a unique platform to local, state and national businesses.

The MGIB gives businesses the chance to generate new opportunities while networking with like-minded people. MGIB encourages philanthropic donations to projects listed on the Australian Sports Foundation to assist with facilities development, and at times, provide fee-free football to players who need it most. With more than 200 businesses currently engaged in the group, members can choose the projects they support.

Initially, the MGIB functions were made up of Match Day guest speakers, before also moving into social events to allow soft networking to take place. The social events are also creating memorable experiences which gives our members and guests something to look forward to on the calendar.

The Magic Group was founded in 2018, and in 2019 the Magic Group In Business (MGIB) was established. Due to the growth of the networking group and our women and girls program, we established the MGIB Women in 2023 to encourage more leaders to get involved with our girls. We now have ten MGIB Women Ambassadors who are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to promote our Club and act as mentors to assist our girls at Magic United in their own development.

Our MGIB events have been a great success this year and we encourage more companies to get involved in 2024.

Businesses are given the opportunity to become presenting partners in our social events and to give presentations at our Match Day series. Businesses can also sponsor Magic United (500 members including 150 female players) with packages currently available for the 2024 and 2025 seasons.

If you would like to hear more about getting involved with the MGIB or Magic United, now or in the future, please contact Andrew Robinson to discuss.
