Go behind the scenes at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital - one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in the world!
On Saturday 27 February 2021, you will be personally escorted around the Hospital to learn about the medical care each animal receives. There will also be wildlife veterinary demonstrations, face painting, food stalls, giveaways and more!
Education is powerful and the Open Day gives you the chance to get up close and personal with the 250 species that enter through the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital doors each year. You will witness their journey and our efforts in treating, rehabilitating and releasing these precious patients. Our passionate staff will share their love for our wildlife, inspiring you to spread awareness about the work being completed in our hospital.

Feed wild lorikeets, see mammals, reptiles, birdlife, exotic species and ‘live’ shows! Enjoy an animal encounter, ride the miniature train, cool off at Wild Island Adventure Splash Zone, and immerse yourself in a forgotten world in Lost Valley.
The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital admits over 13, 000 patients and almost 600 koalas each year. It is our mission is to treat, rehabilitate and release sick, injured or orphaned native animals back to the wild. Your visit will help support the wildlife hospital and our furry, scaly and feathery friends.
