Queensland’s largest and most prestigious fashion runway event, Brisbane Fashion Festival will return for 2024.

The 17th Brisbane Fashion Festival promises to be bigger, bolder and brighter than ever, with an expanded program including new events, stretched over six fashion-filled days.

The 2024 Brisbane Fashion Festival will run from Sunday 25 – Friday 30 August.

Hosted in the heart of Brisbane City, in King George Square and City Hall, the Festival is expected to welcome more than 4,000 guests throughout the week.

Brisbane Economic Development Agency returns as the Festival’s Principal Partner, supporting this important and much-loved platform for showcasing the best in local fashion design and retail.

Brisbane Fashion Festival Director, Mr Lindsay Bennett, is thrilled to announce initial plans for the 2024 event.

“Brisbane Fashion Festival is Queensland’s premier annual fashion event, providing a world-class stage to celebrate our local fashion industry. Each year the Festival promotes the best Queensland designers and retailers and the brightest emerging talent, alongside some of the most coveted names in Australian fashion; connecting our local creatives with industry insiders, media, and importantly, an audience of fashion lovers and potential customers,” Mr Bennett said.

“2024 sees the 17th Brisbane Fashion Festival, and we have an exciting program in the works to make this our best and brightest event yet. All will be revealed in the coming months, so stay tuned!”

Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner welcomed the return of the city’s most stylish event for its 17th year this August.

“Brisbane Fashion Festival is a spectacular annual event that shines the spotlight on local and national talent, while providing a stage for the next generation of Brisbane designers,” Cr Schrinner said.

“With more than 4000 attendees expected to attend the event over six days, the Festival has a flow on effect to local businesses, shopping precincts, bars and restaurants, ultimately boosting the economy and supporting local jobs.

“We look forward to seeing Brisbane’s fashion credentials shine as we celebrate the creativity of our industry.”

Building on the sell-out event of 2023, this year’s Festival will feature more events over a six-day program, welcoming a greater number of fashion fans, showcasing more designers and retailers, and spotlighting a few of Brisbane’s most iconic destinations.

As Brisbane Fashion Festival evolves, what remains the same is its dedication to driving fashion retail for Queensland. The Festival will again present an exceptional line-up of Queensland and Australian designers – from the established to the emerging to the cult-favourites – for a fresh, creative, and inspiring celebration of new-season fashion as Spring/Summer collections launch.

The full program for Brisbane Fashion Festival 2024 will be released on 29 May, with tickets on sale from 31 May via Ticketek.
