ALEXANDER MARINE’S HAMPTONS INSPIRED ‘2023 ANNUAL WHITSUNDAYS GET TOGETHER’
The Alexander Marine family came together over the October long weekend for their annual ‘Whitsundays Get Together’ event at the stunning Cid Harbour in Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands.
This year’s event was nothing short of picturesque, with three magnificent charter superyachts, an attendance of over 100 people, and a theme that transported everyone to the Hamptons.
The adventure began as the group consisting of international guests, existing customers as well as new faces departed from Hamilton Island, filled with excitement for the day ahead. Although Mother Nature delivered a sudden downpour of rain when the group arrived at Cid Harbour, this quickly cleared, revealing a breathtakingly beautiful day, setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
The charter superyachts that played host to this year’s gathering were the 2004 Moonen 84 ‘Aurora’, the 2020 Ocean Alexander 88 ‘Escapado’ and the 2013 Custom 92′ Expedition Motor Yacht ‘Segara’.
Each vessel had previously been sold by Alexander Marine and offered a unique experience, ensuring there was something for everyone.
Dealer Principal / Director Alexander Marine Todd Holzapfel held a welcoming speech, prompting guests to have fun, celebrating the event in its 7th year and also the recent appointment as a Whitehaven Motor Yacht dealer.
The Ocean Alexander 88 became the hub of entertainment for the evening, as the talented band ‘Left of Centre’ illuminated the makeshift stage, set up on the boat deck. Their music filled the air and provided the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of dancing and enjoyment. The dance floor was set on the boat deck of ‘Segara’, creating a lively atmosphere that had everyone on their feet.
Meanwhile, ‘Aurora’ offered a serene and relaxed atmosphere, serving as the ultimate chill-out zone for those who wanted to take a break from the dance floor or simply bask in the scenic beauty of Cid Harbour.
WELCOME TO THE HAMPTONS
This year’s theme, inspired by the Hamptons, transformed the boats into elegant havens of blue and white. Gorgeous blue hydrangea arrangements adorned the boats, lending an air of sophistication and
charm to the surroundings. The Hamptons theme set the perfect tone for a day of luxury and relaxation.
Adding to the highlights of the event were the incredible bartenders on ‘Segara’, who mixed up a storm, creating mouthwatering cocktails. The cocktail of the day, the “Long Island Blue,” was an absolute hit among the guests. This tantalizing concoction not only delighted the taste buds but also got everyone into the party mode, making the vessels come alive with laughter and dancing.
CELEBRATING LOVE AT CID HARBOUR: ONE COUPLE’S ONE-YEAR ANNIVERSARY
Amidst all the revelry and excitement, there was a heartwarming love story that unfolded; Last year, at the same event, two souls found each other amidst the beauty of the Whitsundays and celebrated their one-year anniversary this year.
Their story is a testament to the magic of these annual gatherings. Love, like the Whitsundays, has a way of bringing people together, and the couple’s love story is a beautiful reminder that not only does Alexander Marine’s event create unforgettable memories, but it also weaves the threads of lifelong connections.
STRENGTHENING THE ALEXANDER MARINE FAMILY TIES
As the night continued, the stars above shimmered in the clear sky, mirroring the joy and excitement of those gathered below. Conversations flowed, memories were made, and the sense of camaraderie among the Alexander Marine family grew stronger.
The annual Whitsundays Get Together was a testament to the enduring spirit of friendship and adventure that defines the Alexander Marine community.
