It was a room full of smiles and camaraderie as upwards of 60 guests met in the Skypoint private function room, bright and early, to celebrate the closure of the 2024/25 year of WIT and vote in a new committee for the next financial year.  Hosted by Surfers Paradise tourism industry stalwart, Peta Cotterill, the crowd enjoyed a presentation about the Pacific Airshow from Code Four creative director, Darran Franks and marketing manager, Janah Nuttall. From sharing the Anatomy of an Event to the economic impact, room nights booked, a breakdown of attendees, community engagement and vision for The Future, Darran and Janah revealed why the event will be back bigger and better in 2026 with performers to delight an audience of all ages – and even the biggest aero-nerds. The charity of the day was Enriching Lives who raised $840.

The morning delivered a little education, a little laughter and a lot of spectacular imagery. Watching the airshow footage from Level 78 of Q1 was nothing short of dramatic!
