Whitehaven specialises in bespoke boating

Whitehaven Motor Yachts will be on show at this year’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, proudly displaying the bespoke 6000 Flybridge model among its impressive line-up.

Embodying the Whitehaven hallmarks of wide, walkaround decks, spacious flybridge and generous garage for a tender up to 3.5-metres, the Whitehaven 6000 features a three-cabin layout, comprising full-beam master with ensuite, VIP with private ensuite and guest cabin with twin beds that converts to a double and accompanying guest bathroom.

In the saloon, large panel glazing creates a light and airy ambience, and for alfresco dining and entertaining, fully-opening doors enable uninterrupted entertaining through the aft deck, galley and saloon – all creating the feeling of an extended indoor-outdoor social space. On the foredeck, an array of sunbeds is the ideal place for guests to recline and savour the views.

The Whitehaven family will soon welcome the new 6500 Sport Coupe, a long-awaited new model addition to the range that includes a full beam master ensuite behind the master stateroom and a larger cockpit which is an entertainer’s delight. A walk-through foredeck with seating and sunbed arrangement compliments and an abundance of other bespoke features specified by her owners that make their new vessel the perfect fit for their boating requirements.

In addition, the individually designed Whitehaven 6000 Flybridge is eagerly anticipated and will head to new owners in Sydney in early 2023.

Whitehaven Production Manager, Ryan Hanson is currently visiting Kha Shing Enterprises which are the manufacturing facility for Whitehaven. Ryan is overseeing the progress of both these one-of-a-kind Whitehaven’s and inspecting the four, new-generation Harbour Classic 40s in build.

“The Whitehaven 6500 Coupe which is due for delivery in early 2023 is taking shape nicely,” he said. “The new 6000 Flybridge is also progressing well and boasts several new and improved features, including updated foredeck seating and sunbed, reshaped saloon and flybridge windows and hull changes to improve efficiency.”

As Ryan explained, “Being able to travel again has enabled me to return to my core activity of implementing Whitehaven’s new and improved designs and the further development of new models, which is fantastic for the brand.”

Two of the Harbour Classic 40s are destined for owners in Sydney and Melbourne, both two-double bed configurations with the new galley-up layout. The Melbourne client chose to open up the second cabin to increase the feeling of space. The result is a bespoke design with larger forward master cabin and the remaining lower accommodation becoming open plan that allows for direct light to flow down from an atrium space directly below the windscreens.

The other Harbour Classic 40 is heading for a Gold Coast client and one is still available for delivery in November in time for the summer. Interested parties will be able to inspect one of the new Harbour Classic 40s on show at the 2023 Sydney International Boat Show in August.

“There’s been a lot of interest in the Harbour Classic as a versatile day boat and weekender,” said Ryan.

“This gentleman’s cruiser is efficient, functional and reliable, whether it’s powered by single or twin-engine installations. The next two iterations of the Harbour Classic range are soon to be announced. Both are in the final stages of design.

“With the reopening of international borders, it’s an exciting time ahead as we reignite our program of product development.”

Located in the Whitehaven Group display Marina F Pier, the Whitehaven 6000 Flybridge will be on show at SCIBS 2023. whitehavenmotoryachts.com.au
