WaterPoint scores 10 out of 10

Renovation royalty Shelley Craft gives WaterPoint Residences her much-sought-after tick of approval.

When it comes to property — be it investment or renovating — there are few local famous faces who know their subject matter quite like Shelley Craft.
Channel Nine’s The Block presenter and her husband Christian Sergiacomi are well-known for being seasoned renovators. Last year, they flipped a reno in Byron Bay for a very healthy profit.

“We always renovate with ourselves in mind — how we want to really live in a space — and never take shortcuts,” she has said.
So scoring WaterPoint Residences so highly really does mean a professional tick of approval.
“WaterPoint Residences, I believe, is the benchmark in apartment living on the Gold Coast,” Shelley tells ORM. “I recommend to everyone looking to purchase to inspect and see why I have given WaterPoint Residences 10 out of 10.”
Shelley gives WaterPoint Residences full marks for 10 reasons.
First, she loves that the apartments face north to water. With 360 metres of northeast waterfrontage, every building is located on the water and offers breathtaking, uninterrupted views.
Situated on 2.7 hectares and looking out across the sparkling Gold Coast Seaway and Broadwater, WaterPoint has been designed to enable residents to live a permanent holiday lifestyle.
She next scores the resort-style facilities. These include the infinity edge saltwater pool, private boardwalk to enable easy paddleboard water access to the games room, ‘residents’ celebration lounge’, 16-seat theatre, indoor heated lap pool, gym, sauna, steam room, Pilates room, massage room, and Zen garden.

Third, Shelley rates the 24/7 gated security and, next, the sweeping views.
The grand gated entrance is manned 24 hours a day, seven days a week, for optimal safety. By clever design and through the floor-to-ceiling glass doors, the outdoor picture becomes part of your WaterPoint home.
With her keen eye for design and functional living spaces, it’s the spacious designs of WaterPoint Residences that Shelley rates in fifth place.

Next she rates the tranquil landscaping, designer fitting, and finishes.
All apartments include ducted reverse-cycle air-conditioning, while kitchens feature stone bench tops, gas cooktops and European stainless steel appliances. Kitchens have been specifically designed to enhance the joy of cooking.
Bathrooms are a sanctuary of bliss; all feature dual above-bench basins and a freestanding bath.
And then, of course, there’s the remarkably low body corp, which is a real drawcard to this development. All of these first-class facilities for under $100 per week is seriously impressive, as anyone who’s looked into Gold Coast body corp rates will tell you!

Also on Shelley’s list are the convenient marina berths and the value, from $475,000.
WaterPoint will include three marina pontoons, each with six berths. The WaterPoint community pontoon boat is available for hire to all residents through the on-site managers.

Take a leisurely stroll down the road and you’ll find all the al fresco dining anyone could desire. There are vibrant cafes and Harbour Town Shopping Centre is just across the road, with plenty of fresh produce on offer as well as designer labels.
In addition, WaterPoint Residences are close to the Gold Coast University Hospital, Griffith University, private schools, the light rail, and the M1 motorway. Hope Island Golf Resort, Sanctuary Cove, and Sovereign Islands are also all easily accessible.
