Like clockwork, our international artistic team has been working on a bold new collection of cuts and colours and hair inspiration for us to present to you, our clients.
      This year’s collection is titled ‘Legacy’. It’s bittersweet as it pays homage to our founder Toni Mascolo OBE, who sadly passed away after dedicating his life to bettering the standard of hairdressing and salons globally.
      Our creative director and Toni’s daughter, Sacha Mascolo-Tarbuck, reveals the collection marks more than half a century of her father’s history.
      “Creating the new TONI&GUY ‘Legacy’ collection with the art team has been one that is close to my heart, as it celebrates 55 years of hair, fashion, heritage, and education, as defined by my father,” she says. “This campaign looks at our past, present, and future through three distinct styles: vintage, contemporary, and creative — areas where TONI&GUY are unrivalled.”
      I had the privilege of travelling to London to learn about the collection firsthand. I saw the collection broken down through its inspiration, techniques and, most importantly at TONI&GUY, focus on working with client suitability and personalisation, so every guest in our salon gets a look that’s truly bespoke to them.
      After the London trip, it was then time for our Australian launch. Lissy and Maryam joined me in Sydney as they were also selected to work backstage. It really does inspire and give endless new ideas to bring into the salon for our clients, which we can’t wait to share.
      I’ve selected some of our favourite looks to share with you. Hopefully, you too will be inspired to perhaps try a new colour or cut or even just a new way to style your hair.

DUALITY 

Toni&Guy is excited to announce the launch of their new 2016/17 collection – Duality – which has been created with a sense of artistic freedom and individuality to deliver a fresh and open-minded outlook on how we cut and colour hair.
There’s been a huge focus towards eccentricity in fashion as well as the revolving cycle of trends seen during fashion week from iconic designers such as House of Holland and Alexander Wang, who played an integral part to our creative thought process.
“The collection sees a triptych of sectioning patterns that allows us to create a collection of looks which vary in strength, texture and shape and all with a trend-driven colour palette,” says Katy Reeve, National Creative Director of Toni&Guy.
“These sections work by allowing different techniques to be used within the same set of sectioning patterns to create a juxtaposed finish.”
Jack Morton, National Technical Director of Toni&Guy continues, “For colour, accents of colour were created with an internal softness. Boldness and partial lightener applications create editorial-inspired colours whilst colour-strobing and perimeter drifting are used to create alternative results.” 
With millennials in mind, the Duality collection was born from work shopping personalising techniques with accents of colour to work alongside a new wave of models.
These ‘anti-models’ have a maverick approach and are willing to re-invent themselves to suit any show or trend which is a perfect fit for our clients at Toni&Guy.
Having been fortunate enough to travel to London to see the global launch of Duality, myself and the Broadbeach team then worked backstage recreating these key trends for our Australian launch in Sydney.
