After a two-year hiatus, the glitz and glamour of Australian TV’s night of nights is descending on the Gold Coast on Sunday 19 June with the 62nd TV WEEK Logie Awards, being held at The Star Gold Coast Entertainment precinct. And, to give fans a taste of the action, The Star Gold Coast is rolling out the red carpet with a
star-studded list of pre-party entertainment.
Festivities at the renowned Broadbeach entertainment precinct kicked off last night when a selection of our nation’s favourite foodies from MasterChef descended on Nineteen at The Star for a decadent ‘Taste of Television’ dinner.
The menu for the night included a signature degustation prepared by Nineteen’s Head Chef, Mitch Tucker, that rivalled the dishes created on screen. Each course incorporated the favourite ingredients of former MasterChef contestants, from the locally-sourced seafood that is a favourite of Tessa Boersma and a yuzu margarita granita created as an ode to Sarah Tiong’s love of the Japanese citrus fruit, to a chocolate pie in honour of Reece Hignell’s ‘CakeBoi’ reputation and Christina Laker’s favourite fruit, strawberries, to finish.

The full menu for The Star Gold Coast ‘Taste of Television’ dinner included:
● Spanner Crab with fennel & smoked crème fraiche and QLD King Prawn remoulade with oscietra caviar
