The Magic Group in Business continues to grow in strength

WORDS: PHOTOGRAPHY

The Guest Speaker Series is proving to be a big hit among our business community. During the series, a company is invited to give a presentation to the group members. So far the guest speakers have been Wade von Bibra of von Bibra Automotive, Adrian Puljich of Living Gems, Gavin Roden of Valcon Homes, and Dr Peter Schmidt and Kim Sutton of the Gold Coast Hospital Foundation.

The Magic Group in Business offers a unique platform to generate new business opportunities while networking with like-minded people. The Guest Speaker Series is designed to formally connect our business community, cultivate relationships, and facilitate real leads and opportunities.

Back on the field, the Magic Group in Business donations have provided philanthropic support to provide fee-free football to the players who needed it most among representatives of either Gold Coast Knights Football Club in the NPL or Magic United in the Gold Coast leagues.

Magic Group in Business spearhead Andrew Robinson has done a stellar job at attracting some of the Coast’s best business minds to the group and said it was not too late for businesses to still get involved this year.

“Across the Magic Group, which is made up of Gold Coast Knights Football Club, Magic United and Total Football Academy, we are fortunate to have fantastic partners,” the Magic United TFA managing director said.

“From here, we created a networking platform and set up The Magic Group in Business.  Straight away, we had businesses coming to us and asking to be part of the networking opportunities.

“There is still time to get involved with the group. I encourage anyone who would like further information to email me at [email protected].”

From the time we at AHC Limited initially discussed the Magic Group in Business with Andrew and the Gold Coast Knights back in late 2018 until now, we have been delighted that we came onboard.
While we had no real reservations about joining such an initiative, you sometimes wonder what might evolve or actually occur in such local sporting clubs. It is pleasing to say the professionalism that has been on display since the beginning of the VIP Guest Speaker Series has been nothing short of exceptional.
The intimate VIP room where the Magic Group in Business members gather to listen to the stories of guest speakers, network, and enjoy the match of the day makes it all the more comfortable and enjoyable to attend whenever time permits.

I have so far had the opportunity to listen to the stories of Adrian Puljich, who is the general manager of Gemlife, and Wade von Bibra, the von Bibra Group general manager.

I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the evolution of both entities and especially the father-and-son dynamic involved in both of these groups. This is very relatable in our own business and confirms to me that everyone has similar struggles and goals. This is both interesting and enjoyable to be a part of and we look forward to continuing our involvement.

Well done to Adem Poric, Andrew Robinson, the Gold Coast Knights, and The Magic Group team for making this happen and providing such a welcoming environment.

Michael Walton – bank manager, Burleigh Waters, Westpac Retail & Business Banking
“I just wanted to commend and recommend the Magic Group in Business and the current fortnightly events being held before each of the Gold Coast Knights home games. These events are run professionally and are great for gathering like-minded people from the broader business community and providing a platform for businesses to interact with each other and provide an ongoing avenue for business opportunities allowing us to not only develop referral partners but an ongoing business support network. As a bank manager at Westpac, it is proving to be a valuable opportunity to grow my professional network and generate additional business contacts.”
