Mr PP’s Deli & Rooftop, Southport

Expanding the ‘going out’ scene for northerners on the Gold Coast is the multi-level space that is Mr PP’s rooftop, located in the Southport CBD. Offering cocktails, gourmet pizzas, pasta and cheese platters there is something for everyone. Head here on a Friday afternoon for their regular ‘long lunch’ or if you’re keen for some tunes, head over as the sun goes down on Saturdays.

Last Night on Earth, Southport

Just down the road from Mr PP’s lies the alternative and quirky Last Night on Earth bar. Not your usual glamorous or high-end bar, it personifies all things grunge and eccentric. Hyde Paradiso, Surfers Paradise

A somewhat new bar to the Surfers Paradise scene, but nevertheless a popular one, is Hyde Paradiso, located on the rooftop of Peppers Soul hotel. Overlooking the lit-up beauty of Surfers beach, the spacious venue offers a Los Angeles-style lounge with mouth-watering cocktails and various Mediterranean share plates. The Island Rooftop, Surfers Paradise

Definitely one of the most ‘talked about’ venues in the glitter strip of the Gold Coast. White Rhino, Surfers Paradise

The multi-level venue hosts up to 600 people and is therefore one of the most exciting event spaces this GC summer. Aloha Bar & Dining, Broadbeach

Located in a hidden alley, you won’t be disappointed when you spot the umbrella out the front, beginning your experience that is the Aloha Bar. The hidden gem has a total nautical and laidback vibe, with cocktails being served in Instagrammable pitchers such as coconuts, pineapples, and carved tiki jars. Make sure you check it out soon, as its rental status is not a permanent one!

Nineteen at The Star, Broadbeach

Nightjar, Burleigh Heads

Nightjar is a new addition to the social scene of the trendy and bohemian area that is Burleigh Heads. Nightjar hosts a laidback environment, with no dress codes, various beverages, and plenty of entertainment every Thursday through Sunday. You can even order takeaway food right to your table from a few of the nearby eateries, including the famous Wahoo’s Fish Tacos!

Burleigh Pavilion, Burleigh Heads

Sitting pretty down the bottom of the bustling Burleigh hill is the trendy Burleigh Pavilion. With one of the best views on the Gold Coast, grab yourself one of the specialty cocktails and watch the waves roll in.
