Morning ceremony and breakfast marked the official start of construction in Surfers Paradise

The SOUTH BEACH Surfers Paradise project officially broke ground with a ceremony and breakfast held at 8.30am on Wednesday 4 February 2026. The event took place on site at 3006 Surfers Paradise Boulevard, Surfers Paradise, bringing together project partners, stakeholders and guests to mark the beginning of construction for the landmark development.

The breaking ground ceremony was held directly on the building site, providing a tangible sense of progress and momentum. Against the backdrop of the cleared site, speakers acknowledged the collaboration and planning that had led to this milestone, while the ceremonial turning of the soil symbolised the transition from vision to reality.
