The Gold Coast’s newest and largest masterplanned community, SkyRidge, has officially unveiled the region’s newest display home village as the development moves into constructing its next stages.

Called HomeShow, the display village will ultimately showcase 17 prominent builders and the most up-to-date house trends and designs across a total of 37 brand new homes, along with new a café open to the public and a community hub.

Comprising a mix of single and double storey homes with many featuring designer pools, outdoor firepits and alfresco dining and BBQ areas, the builders have delivered innovative designs, resulting in high quality facades and living environments combined with on-trend interior finishes and selections.

The newly relocated SkyRidge Sales and Experience Centre has now reopened at the entry to the display village and includes a café operated by the team behind the renowned Blackboard café at Varsity Lakes, and parking for over 260 cars within two carpark areas, one of which includes an EV charging station for two electric vehicles.

The SkyRidge Community Hub building, which is a facility for community meetings and events, has now launched as the first homes within the estate are under construction and the new community is starting to emerge.

SkyRidge is being undertaken through a joint venture between Perth-based Perron Group and local Gold Coast investor Ross Atkins.

Perron Group General Manager – Land Development, Lyle Kenny, said some of Australia’s most trusted quality builders had been chosen to create homes that complement the development’s stunning location.

“This is an exciting stage in the evolution of SkyRidge as we will start to see the styles of homes that will be built in this unique estate,” Mr Kenny said.

“The display village has been carefully created to set a high standard to achieve the right mix of home styles and sizes to maintain the integrity of the development as a quality community with attractive streetscapes and neighbourhoods.

“Once complete SkyRidge will have to up to 3,500 dwellings, so it’s important we keep our final ambitions in mind, and the companies chosen to build here all share the same vision as we do.”

The SkyRidge HomeShow will have its public launch tomorrow between 12pm and 4pm with a family friendly event featuring free entertainment including children’s rock-climbing, face painting, live music, roaming entertainers, an obstacle course, art workshops, and food trucks with 30 display homes open to the public.

To date more than $172 million in sales has been achieved with only 8 lots remaining to sell in the first precinct, The Ascent.

The development will also play a much-needed role in delivering new housing supply in the region where stock is low but demand is high for new quality residential product.

SkyRidge Project Director from CRA Group, Chris Alston, said a key feature of the development will be an expansive network of large open green spaces, parkland and recreation areas, and public art.

“SkyRidge will retain a 26.6-hectare green spine conservation corridor through the central core of the development on a waterway with mature trees providing a standout natural feature,” Mr Alston said.

“This will be complimented by several open spaces including the soon to be opened Gumnut Park with a focus on multiple exercise and fitness nodes, and a children’s play area with custom designed play equipment.

“We’ll also be opening the two-hectare Lorikeet Park later in 2024 featuring themed play areas and equipment suitable to a broad cross section of children’s ages, a huge 500-person amphitheatre, 180-step stair climb, picnic and barbeque areas, and a fully fenced off-leash dog park ensuring SkyRidge provides a strong focus on community and personal wellbeing.”

Following the completion of The Ascent neighbourhood later this year, SkyRidge will have over 2,000 lots to release to the market progressively over the next 10 years.

The masterplanned community will also include a high-quality village shopping and retail centre.

The display village is open 7 days a week from 10am to 5pm with builders’ sales representatives available to discuss buyers’ particular needs and help plan their home design.

Builders in the display village include Brighton Homes, Metricon, Plantation Homes, Hallmark Homes, GJ Gardner, Clarendon Homes, Ultra Living, Hotondo, Coral Homes, Evoca Homes, Neptune Homes, ABC Homes, Burbank, Bold Living, McCarthy Homes, Stroud Homes and Simonds.
