RISTORANTE FELLINI NAMED AS QUEENSLAND’S TOP ITALIAN RESTAURANT

The Gold Coast’s most-awarded fine dining establishment Ristorante Fellini has been announced as the winner of the Italian Restaurant category at the 2019 QLD and NT Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence.

 

The Awards of Excellence is a nationally recognised and independently judged program that celebrates exceptional service and culinary talent across the state. It’s the only program in Australia where the judging criteria is determined by consumers who rank what is important to them in the dining experience.

 

Fellini’s co-owner Carlo Percuoco says being selected as the finest Italian eatery in Queensland is testament to the team’s dedication to perfection and its passion for consistently delivering exceptional cuisine.

 

“For the past 23 years we’ve worked hard to serve up authentic and traditional Italian fare and being recognised in this way further cements our reputation as a world-class offering. Using only the finest ingredients and with flair and creativity, our chef Richard Burt continues to come up with a selection of decadent seasonal dishes,” he says.

An independent team of trained judges anonymously visit and dine at all the restaurants and cafes up for the awards. They base their scores on the entire dining experience from the food served to the customer service experienced.

 

Restaurant & Catering CEO Wes Lambert says the team at Fellini should be proud of their achievements because running a hospitality business isn’t easy these days.

 

“There’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears that goes into to making it work. But when you get the right mix of staff, produce and service, the results can be extraordinary,” he says.

 

Fellini may compete with other finalists at the National Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence to be held at Howard Smith Wharves in Brisbane on Monday 28th October 2019.

 

Ristorante Fellini has been owned and operated for over two decades by partners Carlo Percuoco, Richard Burt and Raffaele Di Benedetto.
