White Beachside Living

WORDS: PHOTOGRAPHY

A stunning new building right in the heart of Main Beach will offer residents the pinnacle of luxury coupled with a relaxed coastal feel. You could be one of the few who will be lucky enough to call White home…

Locals know all too well that Main Beach has much more to offer than just the beach. That’s not to say that the beach isn’t incredibly impressive — it is — but the hidden gems of cafes, restaurants, shops coupled with the laid-back vibe, all add to Main Beach’s appeal.
Photos of the Main Beach of old remind us of its journey to today. The old bathing pavilion sits next to the Southport Surf Club, which was the first to make its mark on the Gold Coast in 1936.
Stroll down Tedder Avenue and you’ll find chattering people in modern cafes and sassy socialites mixed with barefoot surfers.
If you want the international luxury of Palazzo Versace or The Sheraton Grande, they’re just a short walk
away.

If you’re looking for more exclusive shopping or dining options, Marina Mirage is right around the corner.
If you need somewhere to moor your boat, The Southport Yacht Club offers a safe home to plenty.
Coming soon, you’ll find a stunning new addition to the Main Beach offering – White.
This luxe new building will bring a new landmark to the area. Located just steps from the iconic Tedder Avenue and gorgeous Main Beach, White will offer all of the elements which are essential to luxurious apartment living.

It took three years to find the perfect location for this latest project from Trenert, and every detail has been thoroughly thought through.
“We have designed this building specifically with our target market in mind,” Peter Priest, Trenert Partner
tells ORM when we meet at Blacksmith’s Café on Tedder for breakfast. “We know there are owner
occupiers around the Main Beach area looking to upgrade their lifestyle. They may currently be in a larger home, wondering when the time may be right to downsize to an apartment and reduce their maintenance commitments. Well, we have designed their perfect next move. As you’ll see from the generous floor plans, we have created spacious, flexible apartments offering options to buyers. Whether it’s a couple who want a second living area for their growing children who are seeking a little independence, or those looking for an additional living space for grandchildren to enjoy — these are incredibly versatile spaces for people who love this area.”

White’s large full-floor apartments will share incredible 360-degree views from every room capturing the Pacific Ocean, Broadwater, Hinterland and Surfers Paradise skyline.
Priest knew he wanted to create a luxury new building in this area but that certainly didn’t mean this all fell into place when the idea was born.
“We had to be patient for a few years,” he says. “Main Beach is an exclusive area. So, we had to wait for the perfect location which could offer every buyer everything they’d been dreaming of, as well as the incredible aspect.”

The three-year wait was well worth it.
White is going to be an impressive building offering quality, safety, privacy and size. Befitting a
development of the highest quality, residents will have exclusive access to outstanding facilities such as the Club Lounge level, 25 metre lap pool, entertainment deck, wellness rooms and a gymnasium.
“We know without a shadow of a doubt that we have the perfect location to create the building that locals here are craving,” he says.

Having recently successfully built Banc on Coronation Drive in Brisbane with WMK architects, Trenert
knew they were the right team to collaborate with on this project.
“I develop the concept,” Priest tells us. “Russell Grady from WMK then works closely with us on every
detail of the
design. At every stage and with each decision we are considering what the eventual buyer really wants. We know there are baby
boomers looking to sell their family home and change their lifestyle; plenty of people are tired of having to maintain their own gardens and pool area. These are the kinds of lifestyle choices that we have set out to provide for.”

When this team says they have thought of everything, they really do mean absolutely everything.
White will include surfboard storage and areas to wash your dog after you’ve enjoyed a beach walk.
There will be one apartment per 27 floors, each offering the privacy of lift access direct to your living
room. This will be topped off with a 2-level penthouse, bringing the total number of floors to 29.

“We know our buyers need space so creating two living rooms was a must,” Priest says. “They may be selling a family home with much-loved furniture; they don’t want to have to worry about fitting that into apartment living so we’ve removed that from considerations. There will be plenty of space in White, Main Beach for that treasured dining table or outdoor setting for instance. Owners can have one formal living room and a second more informal space as a breakout area for the kids or grandkids. We know that our buyers have an active lifestyle so the surfboard and pushbike storage area was as important as a good size pool. People don’t want to have to trek down into the basement to dig
out things they need to enjoy their everyday lives, so we’ve made every element ultra convenient at White.”

Inside White there will be a luxury residents’ entertaining area, creating another place for locals to make home. “Whether it’s a gathering of friends for a cocktail party or inviting friends over for conversations over a good bottle of wine, we wanted to create a functional space for all to enjoy,” he says.
Each balcony will have an integrated BBQ and stainless steel beverage centre. “People don’t want to
have their Webber out on the balcony rusting away — White will be able to provide a stylised finished
look.”

The first floor apartment will actually be on equivalent to level four of the building, to ensure every owner has a stunning aspect.
Downstairs, in addition to the pool area and residents’ dining area, there will be a space designed for in-house services such as a hairdresser.

“We wanted ladies who want their hairdresser to come to them rather than having to travel, to have the facilities to do so,” Priest says. “So, residents won’t need to leave the comfort of White and neither will they need to bring people into their own private living space.”
There will also be a massage treatment room that residents can book.

“At every stage we have had the convenience of our residents front of mind,” he says. “This will be a fully managed building seven days and seven nights a week. If you need someone to sign for a delivery, White will offer that. If you need someone to set up and install a new addition to your home, White will be able to arrange that too. White will make life simple.”

The entertainer’s kitchen will be complete with scullery and spacious dining area and will flow seamlessly onto a substantial north-facing veranda where beautiful Main Beach and ocean vistas await.

Michael Willems, number one in International Commercial at Ray White Group will be exclusively selling White He’s been in the Gold Coast Real Estate industry both in the Commercial and Residential space for 26 years, resulting in more than two billion dollars worth of sales.

A fantastic ambassador for Main Beach — and a local — Michael knows this area like few others. “This location is idyllic,” he tells ORM. “There is no heavy nightlife, there’s a midnight curfew. Residents here love being able to leave their cars at home, wander out for dinner and stroll home.
Everything is in walking distance; the beach, the pharmacy, we have a good supermarket and convenience store, a much- loved bakery, travel agent and other services. If you never wanted to leave Main Beach, you could do precisely that!”

In addition to good schools, from Main Beach, you can catch the tram to Pacific Fair where there is all the shopping you desire. “Pacific Fair or Marina Mirage, they’re both easily accessible,” says Willems. “The lightrail to Burleigh will soon be available and we have all the developments going on at The Spit to look forward to in the next few years.”

Priest says, “We are delighted to have Michael on board. We got Michael’s feedback at every twist and turn along this journey to ensure this is a first-class offering. Life’s too short not to have a lifestyle — and we can’t wait to offer locals this upgrade. There is no need to waste your time doing your own
maintenance when you can downsize your commitments and enjoy life.”
