Bleach* Festival, Various Locations – 17 – 28 April
The Gold Coast's signature arts and cultural festival is returning again from 17 – 28 April. Bleach* will bring a range of events to the Southern Gold Coast region including Water Songs – Songs for the Waterways, The Spirit of Churaki Album Launch, Agapi and Other Kinds of Love and The Soldier’s Wife with the HOTA Choir. Anzac Day, Elephant Rock Currumbin - 25 April
On April 25 at 5am, the ANZAC Day Dawn Service held at Elephant Rock Currumbin, hosted by Currumbin RSL, will once again be a major Australian Event. Anzac Day is an opportunity to remember and revere all those who have served for our freedom from World War I through to current conflicts. Cooly Rocks On™ Festival, Coolangatta – 5 – 9 June
Music, dancing, cars, nostalgia and good old-fashioned family fun are all coming back to Coolangatta as the iconic Cooly Rocks On™ returns from 5 – 9 June. Set on a combination of outdoor stages and venues within Coolangatta’s beachside streetscape, the free five day event is Australia’s favourite rock’n’roll and nostalgia festival, right here in one of the best destinations in the world. Insight Into A Vet Nurse, Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary – commencing 1 May
Ever wanted to know what it is like to walk in the shoes of a vet nurse? Maybe you are considering a career change, looking to become a vet nurse, or are interested in the operations of a veterinary hospital. Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is proud to present its brand new Insight Into A Vet Nurse course. This engaging and hands on course is presented by qualified Vets and Vet Nurses within the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. Run over eight weeks, this course builds on the tasks, responsibilities and duties of a veterinary staff. Participants must be 14 years and older, with parental consent.
