Sherpa Property Group is fast-tracking plans for its expanded Gold Coast portfolio with the company lodging a development application for one of three sites it recently acquired.

Sherpa, which has successfully completed 11 projects on the Gold Coast over the past six years, has laid plans for a boutique residential development at 107 Stanhill Drive at Chevron Island, the first of a trio of new projects in the company’s expanded development pipeline.

The luxury development comprises of just 10 exclusive apartments over 3 levels and will deliver a mix of villas, river residences and penthouses in the heart of Chevron Island.

The project, set to rise on the 1710sqm site, will be under construction in Q3 2024 pending council approvals as the company seeks to capitalise on sustained demand for premium residences in the central Gold Coast region.

Sherpa Property Group plans to launch the Chevron Island development in the first quarter of next year with the development application revealing a stunning design that will deliver four ground-floor villas and four river residences capped off by two two-storey penthouses.

This premium North facing, riverfront site will also feature marina berths, a first for Sherpa’s Perspective brand. Being just inside the 6-knot zone, this project is tipped to attract the boating community as it will provide immediate access to the Broadwater and ocean.

Designed by award-winning firm HAL Architects, the development will feature spacious interiors, specifically designed for the downsizer and owner-occupier market. The apartments will all comprise a minimum of three bedrooms plus multi-purpose room with penthouses offering four-bedroom residences.

“This is one of the best sites on the coast and it’s a great addition to the Sherpa brand. We are excited to be progressing our plans for this site by lodging the development application ahead of the Christmas break,” said Sherpa Property Group founder Christie Leet.

“We believe a boutique project is a perfect fit for Chevron Island with an intimate design that lends itself to sophisticated, yet private, lifestyle. We think our buyers are those already in the vicinity, particularly downsizers, so we have worked hard to make them as good to live in as a house with a huge emphasis on security.

“Each residence will also have a three to four car lock up garage, plus storage, as this level of amenity has been in strong demand across our recent projects.

“This is a really exciting project for the team and we will be working hard to once again deliver the best floor plans on the Gold Coast, continuing to improve each iteration of our Perspective brand.”

Sherpa Property Group is anticipating it will officially launch the development to the market in the first quarter of next year.

The Chevron Island development follows a successful run by Sherpa Property Group for its most recent Gold Coast projects – Perspective Broadwater at Biggera Waters and Perspective on Albatross at Mermaid Beach.

Buoyed by demand for the company’s premium residential offering, Sherpa recently acquired three prime sites including a 915sqm site at 45 Labrador Street in Labrador and a 17ha site on Winchelsea Way at Terranora.

The company says it is currently progressing plans for the other sites with a view to creating premium living spaces that meet the requirements of discerning buyers looking for a relaxed coastal lifestyle.
