CHARITY
SEVEN STARS STEP UP TO HELP A MATE
WORDS: Donna Tunbridge PHOTOGRAPHY Supplied
From Live Aid to the Concert for Bangledesh to our bushfire and flood disaster appeals it’s our Aussie music industry that is there to help raise money for those in need.
Australian music industry icon Russell Morris, off the back off his recent sell-out symphony concerts at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Arts Centre, joins with legendary singer-songwriter Brian Cadd and mates Brian Mannix, Digger Revell, Marcie Jones, Tony Worsley and Peter Cupples with compere Gavin Wood for a one night only show.
This time it’s our Gold Coast music legends that are front and centre rocking in a show for a mate who is in palliative care and to provide much needed funds to support his young family.
It’s all happening at the fabulous Miami Marketta, Gold Coast on Thursday 17 August.
“I’m delighted to be part of this wonderful group of entertainers to help Barry and his family says Russell Morris. “Barry has always been there to help others over many years. Now it’s our turn”.
And Brian Cadd added, ”Please join us for what will be a great show for a great cause. We have a most impressive line-up of Australian talent that has come together to help one of our own. And now we need your help to make it happen”.
Interviews with Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Brian Mannix, Digger Revell and others available. For further information and interviews, please contact Donna Tunbridge 0425 301241 or Tony Healey 0407 706955
