GREASE has landed in Brisbane, and tonight it roared to life with a full house erupting in applause by the final curtain. This production delivers non-stop energy, thanks to a phenomenal cast that ensures this beloved musical is a smash hit.

The lead cast is nothing short of spectacular. Patti Newton shines as the much-loved Miss Lynch, Bobby Fox dazzles as Vince Fontaine, and the incomparable Marcia Hines elevates the role of Teen Angel with her magnetic presence. The camaraderie among the cast is palpable, with Newton and Hines sharing heartfelt reflections on their enduring showbiz careers and the special bond forged within this production.

Joseph Spanti brings charisma and charm as Danny, while Annelise Hall’s Sandy captures the audience with her grace and vocal prowess. However, the standout performances for me came from Mackenzie Dunn as the fiery Rizzo and Keanu Gonzalez as the swaggering Kenickie. Their dynamic energy, electrifying dance moves, and powerful singing elevated the entire production.

This rendition of GREASE is one of the best I’ve seen, boasting stellar sets, dazzling costumes, and breathtaking choreography plus orchestra. It’s a million-dollar spectacle showcasing an ensemble of extraordinary talent, both onstage and behind the scenes.

As a timeless musical, GREASE delivers hit after hit, including crowd favorites like “Summer Nights,” “Sandy,” “Hopelessly Devoted to You,” “You’re the One That I Want,” “Greased Lightnin’,” and, of course, “Grease is the Word.” The songs resonate just as powerfully today, keeping the audience singing along and tapping their feet throughout.

Sadly, the Brisbane run will only last for four weeks, marking the end of a 12-month tour. With tickets nearly sold out, this is a must-see production. Don’t miss your chance to experience one of the best musical performances of the year—GREASE is truly electrifying!
