RACV Royal Pines Resort joins Hall of Fame

The multi award-winning RACV Royal Pines Resort has been inducted into the Hall of Fame for winning Best Environmental Practise for the last three years, and added an impressive two trophies to its collection at the  Queensland Hotels Association Awards for Excellence 2016.

 

Along with the prestigious Hall of Fame induction for “Environmental Practice” the resort was announced as Winner for “Best Meeting & Events Venue” and ‘Best Workplace Health & Safety’ at the event held on the 28 September in Brisbane.

 

John Morris, General Manager, RACV Queensland Resorts said “This is a fantastic achievement for the resort, and is a huge testament to all the hard work from our staff in helping to ensure we exceed our clients and delegates expectations in conferences and events.  The seamless front and back of house experience is complemented by our work in the environmental and sustainability area where we strive to minimise our impact”.

 

In 2014 the resort completed a comprehensive upgrade to its conference facilities, including the introduction of a new grand staircase, a one-of-a-kind glass wall to the front of the iconic ballroom and pre-function space.

 

“The improvements coupled with a strong focus on customer service have helped enhance the Royal Pines reputation as a premier conference and events venue”.

 

RACV Royal Pines Resort offers 14 versatile indoor function spaces that can cater for eight to 1800 people, allowing for the diversity to cater for all scales of meetings, incentives, conference, exhibitions and events.

 

Along with RACV’s focus on exceeding delegate and client satisfaction in the conference and events market, it’s the resort also is dedicated to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment for all staff, guests and the general public.

 

“Since 2008 the resort has seen over 90 percent improvement in our injury statistics, which demonstrates the effectiveness of our safety management systems and process and our commitment to safety.  The resort has and will continue to review and seek continued improvement in safety management going forward”.

 

The resort’s Hall of Fame induction depicts the strong commitment to the environment and continuous quality improvement by RACV. Mr Morris said “RACV Royal Pines Resort is consistently working to exceed member and client expectations, set new standards as an environmentally friendly resort and ensure the property offers something for everyone”.

 

 

 

Mr Morris also recognised his team’s proactive participation in working towards maintaining progress in its recycling, water, gas and energy saving initiatives.

 

“Royal Pines long term environmental commitment has been recognised with the Silver EarthCheck environmental certification which is a fantastic outcome for the team”.
