A major Palm Beach property development signals the next chapter in Sherpa Group’s growing Flourish portfolio
A significant Palm Beach property development is underway following Sherpa Group’s $19 million acquisition of a prime Gold Coast Highway site, marking the next evolution of its successful Flourish residential brand.
Positioned at 1156–1164 Gold Coast Highway, the 2,050sqm site currently houses a collection of convenience retail outlets. Now, it is set to transform into a thoughtfully designed mixed-use destination that reflects the changing face of one of the Gold Coast’s most in-demand coastal suburbs.
A Strategic Investment in Palm Beach’s Future
The acquisition forms part of a broader $30.5 million investment across two Palm Beach sites, reinforcing Sherpa Group’s long-term confidence in the area. With strong demand from first-home buyers, downsizers and lifestyle-focused investors, Palm Beach continues to evolve as a key residential hotspot.
Founder Christie Leet says the latest project builds on the group’s established track record within the local market.
“We are currently finalising plans for this strategic site, which will include a destination retail precinct that will continue to service locals and deliver a new level of retail amenity,” he said.
A Mixed-Use Vision with Community at Its Core
Central to the development is a 1,500sqm ground-floor retail precinct designed to activate the streetscape and enhance everyday convenience for residents and the wider community.
Above, the proposed residences will offer a mix of one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom apartments, reflecting the diversity of buyers entering the Palm Beach market. This approach aligns with Sherpa Group’s broader vision of creating inclusive, multi-generational communities.
“Through our extensive experience in the Palm Beach market, we plan to build on the success of our previous Flourish projects to deliver a diversity of residential options,” Mr Leet said.
Elevated Coastal Living with Signature Rooftop Design
A defining feature of the development will be its expansive rooftop—spanning more than 2,000sqm and designed as a lifestyle destination in its own right.
Planned amenities include a resort-style swimming pool, wellness centre, spa, plunge pools, gym, yoga and treatment rooms, as well as private and outdoor dining spaces complete with pizza ovens and barbecue facilities. A children’s playground, Zen garden and dedicated work-from-home areas further reflect the evolving needs of modern residents.
In a distinctive move, the rooftop will connect via skybridge to a future neighbouring Flourish development, creating a shared, community-driven environment across multiple sites.
Building on the Success of the Flourish Brand
This project will become the fourth under Sherpa Group’s Flourish banner, joining Oasis and Amargo in Palm Beach and Symphony in South Brisbane.
“Flourish is designed to create living spaces for a multi-generational community,” Mr Leet said.
“The success of our portfolio has been built on delivering sophisticated residences that remain accessible to a wide range of buyers.”
Pending development approval, the project is set to further strengthen Palm Beach’s reputation as one of the Gold Coast’s most desirable and liveable coastal destinations.
A New Chapter for Palm Beach Living
As demand for well-located, lifestyle-driven property continues to grow, this latest Palm Beach property developmentrepresents more than just another residential project—it signals a broader shift toward integrated, community-focused living.
With its blend of residential diversity, retail activation and elevated lifestyle design, Sherpa Group’s newest Flourish project is poised to play a defining role in shaping the suburb’s next chapter.
