The Gold Coast’s longest running painting prize has attracted a number of high-calibre sponsors which will be instrumental in promoting and celebrating artistic endeavours across the region.

The Doyles Art Award & Exhibition, now in its sixteenth year, is already a prominent fixture on the nation’s cultural calendar, but this year’s sponsors are helping The Doyles reach new heights and a wider audience.

Event Director Gillian Grove said the not-for-profit art award and exhibition relies heavily on sponsorship and community support to maintain its position as the Gold Coast’s most established painting prize.

“Attracting sponsorship of this stature is a testament to the importance of The Doyles and our significant impact on, not only the Gold Coast, but the Australian cultural landscape,” says Ms Grove.

The Doyles 2022 platinum sponsors include Bond University, SkyRidge Living, Left Bank Art Group and Attwood Marshall Solicitors amongst others.

“The entire Doyles Art Awards organising committee is always seeking a broader sponsorship reach to help continue our important work fostering and encouraging emerging Australian artists,” says Ms Grove.

“We gratefully acknowledge the generous contributions of our vital sponsors, without whom we simply could not exist.”

The Doyles Art Award carries a whopping $20,000 prize pool across its three competition categories, including a jaw-dropping $10,000 going to first prize in the coveted Landscape category.

Artist submissions close 25 May for the three categories: Landscape, Figurative and Still Life; and three junior categories (under 18 years): Junior, Middle and Senior.

The exhibition runs from 22 June to 3 July at Mudgeeraba Memorial Hall and will display over 500 artworks available for purchase on the event’s website.
