Q&A with Alexe Woolley
1.How long you been modelling for and where were you scouted?
I have been modelling for almost 10 years now- time has gone so fast! I did dancing for a very long time prior to modelling and was always told I should be modelling not dancing! After I finished high school, I decided to give it a go and met with my first agent in Sydney
2. Where are you from and your background?
I am from a beautiful little town in the Northern Rivers NSW. Both of my parents are Australian, but I do have an Italian background on my Dad’s side and a little Scottish on my Mum’s side.
3. Favourite thing about your home city?
I love how relaxed it is, the nature and proximity to the beach.
4. What your favourite go-to exercises for working out?
I do a combination of yoga, pilates and try to get a beach walk in most mornings before work if I can!
5. Favourite go-to healthy meal?
For breakfast I love a smoothie bowl or overnight oats with berries. For dinner my go to would be a big nourish bowl full of warm veggies and some sort of protein.
6. Healthy morning ritual that you follow to start your day on a positive note?
An early morning beach walk is my favourite way to start the day. It allows me to be present and is the perfect time to set my intentions for the day. I then come home and have a glass of hot water with apple cider vinegar and dry body brush before I shower. I love finishing my shower with a blast of cold water to wake me up- it’s so good for your lymphatic system and skin!
7. What do you love about modelling?
My favourite thing about modelling is the amazing people I have met and the places it has taken me. Nearly all of my best friends are also in the industry, and I am so grateful for the friendships I now have through modelling. I have been fortunate to go on annual work trips to Europe and the UK with my agencies over there and have seen so much of the world with my job.
8. What has been your favourite jobs
My agent in Germany booked me on an amazing eyewear campaign in 2023. The whole team got flown to the Greek Island Skiathos for the job. We were there for 3 days and I think I only actually shot for half a day! The rest of the time we went on boat trips and had delicious lunches and dinners all together. It is definitely a highlight!
9. You have worked internationally – what has bene your favourite place to travel for work?
I have been going to Germany for work over the last 8 years and I really love It there. My agency is amazing and have booked me on so many incredible jobs all over Europe. I also really enjoy working in the UK- I seem to always be there around the same time as my friends so it’s a lot of fun!
10. Tips for any upcoming models?
I think my biggest piece of advice would be to always have a strong sense of self-worth and have a super supportive mother agent to carry you through your career. It is a very tough industry, and things take time. Be patient and always give 110% on every job. Find other things you love for your days off to fill your cup. Lastly, always have a positive attitude and strong work ethic as this is what clients remember
