Australia’s leading home builder, Metricon, is not only setting the standard at the Gold Coast’s showpiece SkyRidge estate, but also setting records

A magnificent Metricon display home, the Waterford 47, recently sold for a groundbreaking $2.8m in what was not only a new benchmark for SkyRidge but also highlighted the surging demand for premium, expertly-crafted homes for which Metricon is renowned.

The Waterford

The Waterford is one of four stunning home designs on show at the Metricon display at SkyRidge that are luring a legion of potential buyers eager to check out the luxury, quality and spacious designs for themselves.

“The traffic through the SkyRidge display on a daily basis is phenomenal,” said Metricon’s regional sales manager, Jayne Mulcay.

“We’re selling approximately 10 homes a month through the display, many of them in SkyRidge itself but also in other parts of the Gold Coast because the demand for land in the estate is so high.”

The Waterford

The SkyRidge display showcases two of Metricon’s newest facades in the Waterford and the Vantage, both from the builder’s premium Designer range.

Sprawling more than 380 sqm over two luxurious levels and boasting the stylish Pacific facade, the Waterford features five bedrooms including a lavish master suite, multiple living areas, a designer kitchen with top-tier appliances and outdoor spaces ideal for Queensland’s indoor-outdoor lifestyle.

With its elegant Las Palmas facade inspired by the Palm Springs mid-century modern style, the Vantage 48 is another Metricon design masterpiece that also offers two levels of premium living across a spacious 386 sqm with four bedrooms, a walk-in pantry, study, powder room, outdoor room and leisure room.

Also on display at SkyRidge are two beautiful homes from Metricon’s perfectly-priced Freedom range – the Marion 40 and the Clara 27.

With a generous 314 sqm of living, the two-storey Marion 40 showcases the more traditional yet still stylish and timeless Princeton facade and boasts four bedrooms, a walk-in pantry and living areas including a study, outdoor room and kids retreat.

One of Metricon’s biggest-sellers, the single-level Clara 27 punches well above its weight with a blend of traditional and modern design elements including raked ceiling with skylights, four bedrooms and big home features such as walk-in pantry, outdoor room and media room.

“The design covenants at SkyRidge are very high so Metricon is playing a pivotal role in ensuring the standards are met by presenting the highest-quality homes, facades and colours,” Ms Mulcay said.

In keeping with its reputation for excellence, Metricon has also been the most prolific builder at SkyRidge, selling 70homes at the estate with 55 already completed or underway.

Buyers in the estate include Ms Mulcay’s own daughter and son-in-law, the proud owners of a Metricon home in the first stage.

“Their house and land has already made about $600,000 – the value growth at SkyRidge has been huge,” she said.

“People want to live here, there’s no doubt about it. The location just off the M1 is excellent and you’re only a short drive from just about anywhere, whether it’s Pacific Fair, Robina Town Centre or the beach.

“As more stages are being developed at SkyRidge, home and land values are only increasing – along with the desire to live there.”
