MAGIC UNITED On Foot For A MAGIC YEAR – Excitement builds for 2025

WORDS: Andrew Robinson PHOTOGRAPHY Supplied

Magic United is very excited for the 2025 season. The Club will build new women’s and girls’ changing facilities, and a multi-functional space finished off with the veranda and deck.   To fund the build, the Club has been successful with a grant for $320,000 through a Queensland Government Minor Infrastructure grant, $200,000 from Cr Bob Castra and the City of Gold Coast Council (Community Projects Fund) and we are waiting to hear about our grant application for the Australian Government Play Our Way Grant of $309,000.  The Club is now in the final stages of working through final approvals with the City of Gold Coast Council and selecting a builder for the project.  The staged project is on track to be finished by the end of the financial year.  We are calling on any trades wishing to support the project to contact our Project Manager Kevin Mutch.  [email protected]

Trials

The Club successfully ran trials in October and November for Under 8’s to Under 18’s.  Final trials will take place in January and February.  We encourage any players wishing to trial to register their expression of interest.  https://magicunited.com.au/trials/ .
