- Please provide a short back story of how you both met:
We first crossed paths at our workplace back in 2015, where an undeniable attraction and chemistry sparked between us. From that moment on, we’ve referred to each other as “my person” and have cultivated a beautiful and strong friendship since day one. Our unbreakable bond continues to grow over time, proving that genuine companionship is truly timeless.
- How did the proposal occur?
We travelled to Sydney to celebrate Sarah’s birthday, embarking on a journey filled with laughter, adventure, and unforgettable moments. Upon our arrival at The Langham, we were greeted with a room adorned with roses, scattered petals, balloons, and champagne bottles. Little did Sarah know; this romantic setup would soon lead to a surprise proposal, marking a moment of pure joy and love that we would cherish forever.
- Why did you choose The Valley Estate to host your amazing wedding?
Why wouldn’t you choose it? The grounds are absolutely immaculate, boasting a beauty that words alone struggle to capture. Every corner of The Valley Estate is picture-perfect, from the serene Sanctuary where the bride gets ready, to the charming Chapel and the elegant Glasshouse. The Valley Estate is just pure magic, a place where dreams are woven into reality. With a team of dedicated staff wholeheartedly invested in your happiness, you can trust that your special day will be nothing short of perfection.
- What inspired you to choose the ceremony location at The Valley Estate?
The Chapel boasts remarkable architecture with its floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking stunning views of the Currumbin Valley. This space creates an ambience that not only evokes romance but also carries a distinctive sentimental charm, making it the perfect setting for exchanging vows and creating lifelong memories.
- What is your fondest memory of the wedding?
As we awaited the opening of The Chapel doors, the entire world seemed to pause, leaving just the two of us in a moment suspended in time, surrounded by the anticipation of what was to come. It was a flawless, emotion-filled, and deeply loving moment for us to cherish, a testament to the power of love and commitment shared between two souls.
- What was the inspiration behind your styling?
The inspiration behind our styling was elegance meets intimacy, aimed to create an atmosphere that seamlessly blended sophistication with a warm, personal touch.
- Details of the dresses, Brand, style, the process:
Both dresses Sarah wore were from The Bridal Company.
- Details of the Suit, Brand, and style:
Josef’s suit was from MJ Bale.
- Your favourite dish of the night?
Ohhh, the decision was tough! Josef’s favourite wish was the confit pork belly with cauliflower puree, fennel, apple jus and crackling. Meanwhile, Sarah, being a dessert enthusiast, couldn’t resist the classic tiramisu with chocolate, savoiardi biscuits, mascarpone, coffee and marsala.
- Favourite photo location?
Without a doubt, The Glasshouse. Its enchanting atmosphere is crafted with lush greenery, elegant red brickwork, flickering candles, and vintage accents, all coming together to create a picturesque setting ideal for capturing timeless photographs.
- Words of advice for future couples who are planning their wedding:
Keep in mind, today is exclusively about the two of you, and no one else. It’s a celebration of your love and commitment to each other, and when you prioritise that, everything else becomes insignificant. Concentrate on what brings you both the greatest joy during the planning and preparation stages, as your happiness and joy are ultimately what truly matters.
