Returning on Saturday 4 September for its third year on the Gold Coast, the world’s chicest picnic, Le Dîner en Blanc, has announced it has confirmed a host of local partners and suppliers as the first two phases of tickets sales almost sell out.

The French-originated event is making a white and bright return to the Gold Coast in 2021 after sitting out last year due to COVID-19, bringing together an array of local food, fashion, and culture enthusiasts to dine under the stars at a top-secret location.

Le Dîner en Blanc has officially partnered with O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, Allegro Black, Jaguar, and JW Marriot – rounding out the full package of sponsors and suppliers.

Cafe All Sorts, a local Kirra Beach cafe and catering business, has been announced as the official caterer this year, providing French-inspired hampers available to pre-order ahead of the event.

Le Dîner en Blanc – Gold Coast host, Sara Walsh said she was proud of the choice to support a local cafe loved and renowned by the community, and at a time when the hospitality industry is doing it tough.

“The changes and disruptions to our local hospitality industry presented as an opportunity to choose an official event caterer close to home,” Ms Walsh said.

“Supporting small business during this time is incredibly important to us, so All Sorts on Kirra was a natural choice,” Ms Walsh said.

Wine and champagne hold their rightful place at this year’s Dîner en Blanc with O’Reilly’s being the official wine supplier and Taittinger bringing the bubbles.

“While guests are not permitted to bring their own drinks, a curated list of wine and champagne from our suppliers are available for pre-order prior to the event.”

Tickets to this elegant affair have been available in three phases, with more than 600 excited Le Dîner en Blanc members in the Gold Coast and surrounding areas already scoring their tickets in the first two phases.

The final stage of tickets will be available from Tuesday (27 July) for those who have signed up to the waiting list.

“We sold a third of tickets in Phase one alone and have been inundated with waitlist registrations,” said Ms Walsh.

“The exclusivity and uniqueness of this event along with last year’s cancellation has brought a demand greater than we’ve seen in previous years.”

Le Dîner en Blanc – Gold Coast will operate under a COVID-19 safe plan.
