Launch of Dolphin 1 unmanned rescue device

Called a ‘game-changer’ by Channel 9 Gold Coast, the Dolphin 1 unmanned life rescue device was launched by Mayor Tom Tate at the Southport Yacht Club. Put through its paces both out the front of the yacht club and then over on to the open surf, Dolphin 1 performed well. Both Council and Surf Life Saving Queensland have shown great interest — you’re on to something here, Peter!
