Lamborghini Brisbane unveils Huracán Avio Special Edition

WORDS: PHOTOGRAPHY

The new Lamborghini Huracán Avio special edition has recently been unveiled in Australia. Inspired by powerful fighter jets, the Huracán Avio pays tribute to the world of aviation and aeronautics through its name, colours, and materials. Lamborghini is committed to its philosophy of cutting edge, pure and visionary designs, the Huracán Avio is aggressive yet elegant and pays tribute to the bravery and courage of the Air Force.

Launched in Queensland by Lamborghini Brisbane at the Archerfield Jet Base, Avio was paired with the brand new Cessna Citation Latitude, the highlight balance of performance and luxury for Private Jets. The display matched with the iconic Huracan range including the Huracan RWD and Huracan Spyder.

Avio has all the technical specifications that have made the Huracán a great success: aspirated 610 HP, 5.2 litre, V10 engine; 7-speed gearbox with double clutch, hybrid chassis in aluminium and carbon fibre, a power/weight ratio of only 2.33 kilograms per hp, and breathtaking performance: 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.2 seconds and a maximum speed of over 325km/h.

The Avio special editions’ true uniqueness lies in its interior and exterior finishes. Orange painted details contrast with the body colour and enhance exterior details such as the tops of the side member, the side view mirrors, and the lip on the front spoiler. As well as an iconic double stripe that runs along the roof and down the front bonnet.

Only 250 have been produced worldwide, with one being available from Lamborghini Brisbane.
