Laidback Luxury

THE company behind some of the Gold Coast’s signature residential buildings is poised to bring a spectacular
$88 million apartment tower to the Glitter Strip in an exclusive residential enclave at Mermaid Beach.

Eastview Australia’s Graham Goldman, in association with well-known Queensland architect TVS, will launch the Naia apartment project to the market on December 16.

Located minutes from the iconic Pacific Fair Shopping Centre and only 400 metres from the beach, Naia will comprise an array of apartments targeting the Gold Coast’s burgeoning owner-occupier market.

Naia is the latest development in Eastview’s $2 billion portfolio of projects it has delivered along Australia’s Eastern Seaboard in the past two decades.

These include a series of landmark Gold Coast towers such as Vogue, Verve and The Wave at Broadbeach, the upscale Sanbano Coolangatta, the end-user focussed Element and Ivory projects at Burleigh Heads, and the $26 million refurbishment of the city’s Sheraton Mirage resort.

The company is currently progressing the luxurious $113 million Northcliffe Residences development on the absolute beachfront at Surfers Paradise, which has enjoyed market success with almost 70 per cent of its 75 apartments sold.

Mr Goldman said Naia would deliver a rare new apartment product to exclusive Mermaid Beach, the home of the Gold Coast’s Millionaires’ Row, Hedges Avenue.

“Naia will bring laidback and affordable apartment luxury to Mermaid Beach while offering outstanding proximity to the lifestyle the Gold Coast is renowned for,” he said.

“The location puts major shopping, dining, entertainment, schools and the beach within easy reach of Naia’s residents.”

Wrapped in elegant seaside-inspired architecture, Naia will comprise one, two and three-bedroom apartments on the corner of Alexandra and Mermaid avenues.

Priced from $380,000, the oversized apartments will have spectacular ocean views and expansive outdoor entertaining areas.

An exclusive rooftop residents’ lounge with a swimming pool will top the 24-level tower.

Prolific national real estate marketers The Agency have been appointed to sell the project. The Agency’s Steven Chen said Naia was reaching the Gold Coast market at a time when more local owner-occupier buyers were considering apartment living.

“There is a definite trend towards down-sizing into low-maintenance yet spacious, sophisticated and well-located apartments on the Gold Coast,” Mr Chen said.

“More and more people are prepared to give up the back yard in favour of having shopping, cafes, restaurants and the beach at their doorstep.

“Naia offers affordable apartment luxury in an area that is currently undersupplied with this type of product in an enviable location where there are limited opportunities for apartment living of this quality and scale.

“We’re very excited to be bringing this project to the market at a time when owner occupiers are looking for high quality, well priced and functional apartments so close to everything the Gold Coast has to offer.”
