Knappstein Wines is proud to announce the launch of Unearthed, a premium range that marks an exciting new chapter in the winery’s storied journey. Com-prising two varietals, Sangiovese and Malbec, the Unearthed range is a celebra-tion of discovery, depth, and the remarkable potential that lies just below the sur-face of one of Australia’s most distinguished wine regions.

For over 50 years, Knappstein has championed the singular character of the Clare Valley, crafting wines of quiet intensity and enduring elegance. With Un- earthed, that spirit of exploration takes a new form. These are wines for those who seek something beyond the familiar: varietals with deep roots in European tradition, reimagined through the unique lens of Clare’s cool nights and long growing seasons.

Sangiovese finds a compelling new voice in the Clare Valley. Here, the varietal’s characteristic brightness and structure are tempered by the region’s cool-climate precision, yielding wines of vibrant acidity, fine-grained tannins and a depth that rewards both immediate enjoyment and patient cellaring.

Alongside it Malbec, now synonymous with the bold expressions of Argentina, discovers a more refined identity in Clare, where the altitude and diurnal temperature variation bring focus, fragrance and elegance.
