Play Summary:

At his first psychiatric evaluation, Tom (Carey Parsons) who suffers from war-induced PTSD, comes across as uptight, on-edge and uncommunicative with Dr Phillips (Craig Thompson). However, he pours his innermost thoughts and feelings through his inner voice, represented by a soldier (Rowan Hinton). In a dream sequence, Tom’s heavy guilt and regret is portrayed in a reconciliation scene with the Vietnamese mother (Doll

Nguyễn Ashenden) of a dead Viet Cong fighter, whose belongings he returns to her as part of the Australian-inspired Operation Wandering Souls Project.

Certain scenes have been modified for dramatic effect.
