Watch this face. It’s going places
Elanor Hall is spinning heads and preparing for her biggest year yet in the highly competitive international modelling industry. A National finalist in Top Model Australia 2024 and 2025, she’s ready to step into the big league with ambassador roles for Australian skincare brand Skin 02. Elanor took some time out of her busy schedule to talk to Ocean Road and we discover a down-to-earth teenager taking it all in her stride.
Tell us a bit about your recent career highlights.
I recently did a photo shoot for Joey the Label in Melbourne, completed the second series of Top Model and became an ambassador for skincare brand Skin 02. The shoot with Joey the Label in Melbourne was a great experience. Joey was there and she is so inspirational and lovely. It was good to push myself a bit more and step into a more editorial style photo shoot.
The exposure gained from Top Model has set up a lot of models for the catwalks of Europe and propelled careers in a competitive industry. How did you react to that?
It was a cool experience. The competition this year I thought was a lot higher calibre than last year and while all the girls were so lovely and supportive, it’s fiercely competitive. The Top Model team do a great job preparing you and stay checked in after the competition and I have learned a lot about the industry. I was a finalist in 2024 and finished again in the Top 8 this year. I also won a photo shoot with Joey the Label, an ambassadorship for Skin02 and the social media award, which wasn’t for having thousands of followers or anything, but because I was proactive with marketing and shouting out to sponsors and acknowledging people who make it all happen.

How would you describe your look?
I suppose I’m a bit of a classic Aussie but with a classy edge. My mum named me after her favourite model Elle Macpherson, which she jokes that now I’m growing up to “fit the picture”. I’m very grounded and that has been my upbringing. I started modelling quite late, only two years ago actually as mum wanted me to wait until I was a bit older and just focus on acting while I was young, let me be a kid and have some fun. When an opportunity came up with Top Model I jumped at it and finished in the Top 8 in Australia my first year of competing. I’ve now competed two years in a row.
You started acting at a young age. Has performing helped with your confidence?
I started acting lessons when I was 6. Prior to that at home I was always sitting the family down and giving them a song and dance show from an early age. Acting lessons progressed to musicals and stage productions. I have had a few lead roles with productions at HOTA and musicals for school, which I love. I have a lot of passion for acting and feel confident taking on a character and connecting to an audience. It’s similar to modelling in a way, that you are playing a character.
You’re in year 12 studying for your HSC. How do you balance school work with the demands of modelling?
Balancing school and modelling opportunities is a challenge sometimes, but my family and school are super supportive. I’m obtaining good grades this year with a B+ average and have completed a Diploma of Business and Certificate II in Retail Cosmetics as part of my Year 12 curriculum. I’m encouraged to pursue my dreams by everyone around me which I’m grateful for.
Any plans to study after school or is it all about travelling the world with the glitz and glamour?
I can’t wait to travel more and have Europe in my sights again, however the best scenario would be for me to travel later when I have an acting degree under my belt, and I can always travel and work in the Uni holidays. I’ve applied for a Bachelor of creative Arts (Acting) at the Queensland Conservatorium (Griffith), NIDA and QUT for 2026, they all offer amazing courses. While I’m still a student I will be dedicated to completing my education as a priority. I’m thrilled that I’ve had a call back from my online audition for The Conservatorium to audition in person late September. I’m yet to hear back from the other Uni’s but will know by end of October what direction my future will be taking. I’m so excited about the prospect of going to University to study my passion of acting, everything is crossed in hope I secure a place.

What are you seeing with the advent of AI and are you worried about its impact on your future opportunities?
I do think about it and there’s definitely AI infiltrating online with social media, but it is not affecting my work right now. Bigger brands and runways will always want models, and I can’t see AI being able to replace them anytime soon.
What role does social media play in your career and how important is it to manage that persona carefully?
Social media is like your own billboards. It’s important to create a presence and essentially you are advertising yourself. I try do that with professionalism and integrity and I’m cautious about what I post. I don’t have a big following or anything as I’m really quite new to the whole thing, but I enjoy it.
Who inspires you in the industry and how important is it to stay grounded?
I have been fortunate to have some wonderful role models and coaches. My mum is so supportive and a total ‘mumager’, The Top Model crew were so supportive too and all the contacts I have made through Joey the Label and Skin02 are so fun to work with. One of my mentors is Miss Universe Australia 1991 Georgina Denahy who has been inspirational as she has been in the industry a long time. I enjoy working with marketing people, photographers and brand managers, it’s all a positive learning experience. I have the most supportive friends who join me at the Top Model competitions to provide support in the crowd. Mum is so supportive and knows it’s important for me to have my people around me.

Q and A interview with Skin 02 Top Model Ambassador : Ms Elanor Rose Hall,
How did you become the Ambassador for Skin02?
In June this year, I competed in the National Finals for Top Model Australia 2025. Skin 02 was an official sponsor of Top Model Australia 2025 alongside SriLankan Airlines.
As well as achieving Top 8 I also won two additional amazing prizes, one of which was being awarded the Australian Top Model Ambassadorship for Skin 02, this is certainly a dream opportunity that I feel so grateful to have achieved.
What events have you attended to date under this title?
In July I was invited to a VIP Distributor Delegation Meet & Greet Event by Ali Atia, the CEO of Skin02 and her husband Dr Atia are both founders of Skin02 at their Alive Skin & Medical Centre in Burleigh
Sofia Harris, (Miss Global Australia 2017 and now Director of Miss Australia Pageants) was an attendee, Sofia and I have worked in a few modelling jobs together and she’s quite a mentor for me.
Also at the event was MP Hermann Vorster, representing the support of the Australian Government for the Skin 02 brand joining with the Vietnamese Newtechco group. The Newtechco Group company directors were there so an interpreter was required, it really was a special experience to be part of, I’ve literally never been in a room with so many important people before!
I’m honoured to be Ambassador for Skin 02 not just for the quality skincare brand that it is, but also for the genuinely lovely people behind the brand.
Tell us about Skin 02, and what are your favourite products in the range?

In the morning I lightly wash with Clean Skin Gel Blemish Balm (rrp $34.95), this helps resist breakouts. After washing I apply Vitamin B Probiotic Serum (rrp $69.95), lightweight Multi-Vit BACE cream (rrp $59.95) then a light coat of Face Defence SPF 50+ (rrp $59.95). The Face Defence 50 + is the only sunscreen I’ve come across that doesn’t clog my pores or feel heavy on my skin.
In the evening, I wash my face twice, the first wash to remove makeup and the second wash to cleanse my skin. At night I use the Gel Cleanser (rrp $49.95) it helps control my oily skin, After washing I apply the 2% salicylic acid serum, spot cream (rrp $69.95) for any troubled areas, finally moisturise again with the lightweight Multi-Vit BACE cream.

A favourite Skin 02 product I always have on hand in my bag is the Hydrating Spritz Toner (rrp $49.95), it’s an all-round product to freshen up, set makeup or use when flying for rehydration.

The Skin 02 range caters for all skin types including mature skin which my Mum now uses and loves, especially the products containing peptides.
