Gold Coast Unites to Grow for Gold with Sporting Greats

The Grow for Gold fundraising event was held on Monday, 14th July at TRYP by Wyndham • Amore Ristorante, bringing together the Gold Coast community for an unforgettable evening of inspiration and generosity. Hosted by Sports Gold Coast, in partnership with Roberto Badalotti of Azzura Investments Limited and Olympic gold medallist Natalie Cook OAM, the evening featured a very special guest—world-renowned coach, motivational speaker, and performance strategist, Frank Dick OBE.

Frank Dick, known for coaching legends such as Daley Thompson, Sebastian Coe, and Steve Ovett to Olympic success, captivated guests with his insights on performance, motivation, and leadership. The event was an intimate gathering, with light food and beverages served, allowing attendees to engage in meaningful conversation and hear firsthand from one of sport’s most influential figures.

More importantly, the evening raised crucial funds for the Grow for Gold initiative, which aims to support young Gold Coast athletes pursuing Olympic and Paralympic dreams for Brisbane 2032. Through generous donations, the event helped ease the financial burden of training, travel, and development costs, providing local athletes with the resources they need to excel on the world stage.
