The Gold Coast Media Society hosted its final gathering for 2025 at the stylish Veladora at The Star Gold Coast. Guests enjoyed a margarita on arrival, a selection of delicious canapés, and a relaxed pre-Christmas catch-up away from the fast-paced demands of newsrooms, studios, and production deadlines.

Founded by Andrew Meadowcroft of Squirrel House, Royal Coterie and gcVIP, together with Carly King from Inside Gold Coast and InfoMaps, the Gold Coast Media Society is an exclusive, invitation-only cocktail event designed to bring together journalists, broadcasters, editors, presenters and publicists in a sophisticated yet welcoming environment.

A festive evening of connection and celebration, the event marked a warm close to the year for the city’s media community.
