Owner Partner, Dan Marino of Hickey Lawyers, has hosted a Gold Coast business-leaders lunch raising over $100,000 in donations for the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation and their upcoming human trials.
Some of the Gold Coast’s most elite property businessmen came together to enjoy the exquisite cuisine at Kōst Broadbeach in support of the initiative.
Mr Marino has, for almost two decades, hosted various business lunches to raise much-needed funds for local Gold Coast-based charities including, from time-to-time, the Perry Cross Spinal Research Foundation (being one of the founding board members).
The Foundation continues in its pursuit to raise $8,500,000 to complete the comprehensive cell transplantation and rehabilitation human clinical trial for ten people living with paralysis, with plans to start the human trials in 2024. To date, $7,500,000 has been raised through the support of the QLD Government, Philanthropists local business owners and the spinal cord injury community.
The owners of the newly opened Kōst restaurant were more than facilitating, supporting the Foundation and its pursuits. The owners, Dave Galvin and Cristie Gillespie, willing to show their support in financial commitments to the event.
