St John’s Crisis Centre Gala Shines Bright to Support the Gold Coast Homeless Community

The JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa sparkled with elegance on Friday, 5 September 2025, as the St John’s Crisis Centre hosted its annual Glitz & Glam Gala. Guests arrived in glittering gowns and sharp tuxedos, ready for a night of sophistication, fine dining, and entertainment. Yet beneath the glamour, the evening carried a powerful purpose: to raise vital funds for St John’s Crisis Centre, a lifeline for the Gold Coast’s most vulnerable, providing meals, care, and essential support services to those experiencing homelessness and hardship.

Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed a decadent multi-course dinner, live performances, and spirited fundraising activities, including a luxury auction that saw guests bid generously for an incredible array of prizes. Heartfelt speeches highlighted the challenges faced by the homeless community and the tireless work of St John’s Crisis Centre volunteers, who serve more than 30,000 meals annually and offer pathways to stability and dignity. The emotional connection between the cause and the community was palpable, with guests pledging support well beyond the night itself.

By the time the final bids were placed and the last champagne glasses clinked, the Glitz & Glam Gala had raised an extraordinary sum to ensure St John’s Crisis Centre can continue its mission of compassion and hope. The night was not just a celebration but a statement — that the Gold Coast community stands united in supporting those who need it most. Plans are already underway to make next year’s gala even bigger, further cementing this dazzling evening as one of the city’s most impactful social events.
