ARTLAB & LITTLE ARTLAB – Monthly at the Gallery at HOTA

ArtLab allows kids aged 5-16 years to explore big ideas while working with a professional artist to create an artwork to take home. Kids will learn about different materials, practice and skills through activities that respond to current exhibitions and the Gallery at HOTA collection.

Little ArtLab provides hands-on creative fun with art activities kids under five can enjoy with their parents and carers. Little ones can experiment, play and create with art-based activities inspired by the Gallery at HOTA and current exhibitions.

ZOOM – July 27-28

Combining old-school whimsy with state-of-the-art technology, ZOOM is an enchanting story of a child alone in her bedroom, unable to sleep and curious to understand. She begins a transformational journey with light and discovers that the dark is a magical place. Inspired by the iconic children’s book Harold and The Purple Crayon, ZOOM channels the same philosophy – a child who makes sense of their world through art. The show is driven by the power of ‘child logic’, combined with the magic of science.
