been very fortunate to see some beautiful destinations around the world, but Santorini has left with me with a strong sense of deep love and admiration I have never felt before. I can only describe the island of Santorini as a magical place, a treasured holiday destination and an island with mystical beauty and elegance.

Santorini is one of the most popular and romantic of all of the Greek Islands and best known for their spectacular sunsets over the Caldera and Volcano. It can also be a little tricky and an overwhelming place to book accommodation. Where is the best place to stay in Santorini? For the most romantic, exclusive area, with the best views of Santorini, in my opinion is the village of “Imerovigli”. I was very lucky to spend a few days checked into the boutique Spiliotica on the Cliff Suites and Apartments.

This quaint hotel is tucked away high on the cliff in the picturesque village of Imerovigli and boasts the most amazing positions for Santorini’s stunning sunsets. I chose this hotel as I wanted a more traditional Greek style hotel in a quieter area, a pool with a view and in walking distance to Fira’s restaurants, shopping and nightlife. But most importantly the best seat in the house of the sensational sunsets and I found it!

The hotel has a great variety of rooms to suit all budgets. From the standard Caldera View room, to the Honeymoon suite to the Villa Plunge Pools rooms all with magical views.
