A luxurious new addition is set to redefine independent living with exceptional amenities and tailored care

Living at Odyssey Lifestyle Care Communities is like checking into a luxury cruise ship, except the destination is home. Here, independence meets indulgence in a setting that feels more like a five-star resort. With exceptional dining, upscale amenities, and tailored care that fits into your schedule, every day is designed for comfort, independence, and peace of mind.

And now, Odyssey’s Robina community is about to reach new heights with the fourth and final tower taking shape. Set to deliver an additional 68 apartments to the community, and developed in consultation with residents, construction on the eight-storey building is scheduled for completion later this year.

CEO and founder Phil Usher says Odyssey really listens to what residents and the market are asking for and adapts to their needs, steering clear of the ‘here’s what you get’ model.

“Apartments in the new stage will include a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom options, as well as another Memory Lane section, which is a dedicated space for seniors requiring memory support,” says Mr Usher.

“Our market has been asking for more two-bedroom and even three-bedroom options, and the new building, Biarritz, will offer both. We’ll be adding a lot more amenities in Biarritz to promote a greater variety of activities and build on our sense of community by expanding socialisation spaces.”

Building company Mettle has been appointed to construct the project, which is expected to create between 100 to 150 jobs over the estimated 18-month development period, which commenced on 5 September 2024.

Named after the stunning French seaside destination, amenities in Biarritz will include a larger activities hub, more visiting medical areas for doctors, physiotherapists, and other allied health disciplines, a place of worship, a movie area, a hairdresser, a gym, a bocce green, and outdoor sitting areas.

Mr Usher says Biarritz will connect with one of the existing towers, Malibu, via a semi-enclosed skybridge.

“There are many skybridges across the community, which allow for easy above-traffic travel across the buildings, and friends can easily meet up without having to go far,” says Mr Usher.

“Most skybridges have communal garden areas at either end, so they have been similar to having a park at the end of the street where socialisation is encouraged.”

The Odyssey model is built around a resort-style environment where couples stay together, pets are welcome, grandkids can have sleepovers, and most importantly, the dignity, independence, and wellbeing of residents are highly respected.
