Aspiring to walk the international catwalks, Elanor Hall, aged 17, is a year 12 student at All Saints Anglican School and a Broadbeach local competing this Sunday July 13th 2025 in the national final of the Top Model Australia competition in Melbourne.

Last year was Elanor’s first try in the Top Model Australia National Final, and even though she was brand new to modelling back then, and the youngest contestant, she was thrilled to be placed in the Top 8 contestants in the 2024 event.

The winner of Top Model Australia this year will fly to London courtesy of Sri Lankan Airways to walk in London Fashion Week, competing against other international Top Model winners.

Elanor started her modelling career only a year ago when her mother, Julia Clare, a local Gold Coast business owner and pharmacist, entered her in the Top Model Queensland regional with Queensland’s Miss Australia 2023 Jasmine Stringer as MC for the event and a string of impressive judges including the director of Top Model Australia Deborah Miller.

The judges this year include Aron Katona, Melinda Sullivan, Gamble Breaux, Todd Anthony from the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival and both the infamous Jeff Gobbels and the Dave Hand from the reality TV show Married at First Sight.

A seasoned world traveller, at the age of five Elanor boarded her first international flight alone as an unaccompanied minor to visit family in New Zealand. Since then, she has travelled to over 25 countries, from South East Asia, to USA and Europe. Her favourite destination is Lake Como, Italy.

Elanor is musically talented, taking singing and acting lessons since the age of four. She has accomplished lead roles in musical theatre include Aladdin at HOTA and the lead at Athena College’s production of Matilda. Elanor says “even though I’m relatively new to modelling my acting and performance lessons help me to feel comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. To me it’s so much fun, but also takes a lot of work and dedication to be organised and ready for the show”.

Elanor still takes private singing and drama lessons from Sue den Besten, who was the Head of middle school music at All Saints Anglican School for 14 years and Director and owner of the Athena Performing Arts College for 15 years. Sue says “Elanor’s acting is her great talent”. Currently El and Sue are getting ready to film two monologues. Emma Stones’s “The Audition” from La La Land and Margo Robbie’s infamous bath tub scene from The Big Short.

For the last 18 months Elanor’s modelling and catwalk skills have been in the hands of Gold Coast local Georgina Denahy, who was Miss Universe Australia 1992 and Miss Universe Semi Finalist and Queen of the year 1994. Georgina’s advice to Elanor is “Own the moment, confidence is key and your walk is unique, make sure everybody’s eyes are on you. You are the Top Model!” a sound piece of advice from her mentor Elanor keeps in her head for the show.

Building her portfolio, Elanor has been involved in several professional modelling shoots over the past year. Diving into the Marriott swimming pool in a bridal gown is one highlight. She is not just a pretty face however, achieving excellent grades at school, particularly in mathematics, business diploma and psychology. She takes care of her personal health and fitness with a personal trainer twice a week and enjoys touch football and skiing.

Elanor is really looking forward to competing in Sunday’s final and wishes all the other competitors the best of luck. To follow Elanor’s story and give her support, please follow her Instagram, @elanor.rose.hall
