The new Pacific Fair launched on cue with the change of season. The stores filling up with new collections of Spring/Summer makes it the perfect time for us girls to hit the shops!
So little time and so many shops, what are girls to do? This was the ‘first world’ dilemma faced by Mel and I as we embarked on our whirlwind shopping trip around one of Australia’s premier shopping destinations, Pacific Fair.
Our first stop was the amazing…
The iconic Aussie brand has taken up residence in the heart of Pacific Fair in a space that feels more like a bright and breezy Queenslander home than a retail store.
The design has been inspired by our coastal lifestyle. It has indoor and outdoor aspects and areas to relax away from the shopping buzz.
You’ll find two storeys devoted to the entire collection of women’s, men’s, children’s and homewares with a grand timber staircase linking the ground and first floors.
The wonderful CR team are always on hand for styling advice; which I personally couldn’t have lived without over the years! They’ve succeeded in transforming my wardrobe season after season with pieces that are feminine, flattering and versatile.
A word of warning ladies and gents, you may lose a few hours here. I had to drag Melissa out!
In a prime position in the new open-air precinct, lives luxury Italian brand Furla, celebrated for its handbags, shoes and accessories. There’s a vibrant new season collection named ‘light of colour’ beautifully on display.
With hundreds of bags in so many variations of colours, the styles are playful, practical and they even feature a few more experimental styles if you’re feeling adventurous.
It’s wonderful to see so many international brands like Furla, available on our doorstep!
SCANLAN & THEORDORE
The wait has been worth it – finally the much-loved, high-end Australian brand Scanlan and Theodore has arrived on the Gold Coast.
The Melbourne-based label has been a leader in the premium fashion market for more than 25 years and has a huge cult following.
You can imagine how excited we were to visit and feast our eyes on the new Spring/Summer collection that’s just landed in store.
There are plenty of prints, textures and pops of colour with an understated luxury and elegance synonymous with the iconic brand.
Here you’ll find what fashion magazines call “investment pieces”. Textures, shapes and fabrics, that are very classical but with a modern twist.
I had a bit of a Julia Roberts Pretty Woman moment trying on their signature Italian crepe dress in red. I know it is destined for my wardrobe!
One experience you can’t go past is immersing yourself in the glamorous world of Jan Logan.
The luxury fine Jewellery brand is an international success story known for having a contemporary take on timeless elegance with original pieces that can be worn everyday.
International celebrities such Naomi Watts, Jennifer Lopez and Rose Byrne, to name just a few, have been sashaying down plenty of red carpets wearing the elegant designs of Jan Logan.
Stepping inside the new Camilla boutique feels like you have been transported into another world with an explosion of colour, design and exotic prints.
This is a where kaftan Queen Camilla Franks relives her travels and shares her world through each amazing collection.
The latest offering ‘Jambo Jambo’ has taken inspiration from her adventures through Africa and Morocco, living with the Masai Mara, Pokot and Samburu tribe. While on her travels, she immersed herself in the culture and then recreated her memories with each print. This is like a tribal diary of her experiences.
Melissa and I wasted no time hitting the change rooms in a frenzy of bright, bold prints and bohemian designs. You won’t just find the traditional kaftan styles but also flattering silky silhouettes and fitted styles to suit every body shape; absolutely perfect for our Gold Coast lifestyle.
Finally after trying just about everything on in store, it was time to head back to reality. We had a wonderful experience at Pacific Fair – a dreamy destination with everything true shopping lovers’ hearts desires.
