David Devine appoints builder to deliver $535 million Burly Residences

Developer David Devine has announced the builder that will deliver the eagerly anticipated $535million luxury residential apartment tower Burly Residences planned for the prominent beachfront site on the beachfront at North Burleigh.
Gowdie Management Group has moved onto the 2024sqm double beachfront site at The Esplanade in North Burleigh where groundworks for the construction of the 25-level six-star apartment development have already been completed.
Leading Australian property developer David Devine and his team at DD Living are transforming the prominent beachfront site with 40 metres of beach frontage in the tightly held owner-occupier enclave of North Burleigh in Gold Coast’s south.
Initial works have been completed at Burly Residences, including demolition, services relocation and basement retention, allowing Gowdie Management Group to commence the next stages of construction through to completion forecast for 2027.
GMG has been responsible for delivering a whole range of developments over the past 20 years, building a strong national presence in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
GMG is headed by John Gowdie who has more than 30 years’ practical experience in the Australian construction industry. Mr Gowdie’s early years were spent working for some of Australia’s major construction companies, including Lend Lease and Walter Corporation, before establishing GMG in 2004.
