An inspiring luncheon brought together influential women and community leaders across the Tweed region to champion the power of giving.

In celebration of International Women’s Day 2026, guests gathered at the elegant Plantation House for an inspiring luncheon hosted in partnership with Tropical Fruit World. The event welcomed influential women, local business leaders and community changemakers from across the Tweed region for an afternoon centred on connection, reflection and celebration. Set against the lush surrounds of the Tweed Valley, the luncheon created a warm and uplifting space to acknowledge the contributions of women while strengthening networks across the local community.

Guided by this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” the gathering highlighted the power of generosity, collaboration and shared purpose in shaping a more gender-equal future. Host Judith Brinsmead AM, owner of Tropical Fruit World and Plantation House, welcomed guests and helped set the tone for meaningful conversations and thoughtful exchange throughout the afternoon. A beautifully curated dining experience complemented the program, allowing attendees time to connect, share ideas and celebrate the achievements of women across industries and communities.

A highlight of the luncheon was a keynote address from inspiring guest speaker Lucy Bloom, an award-winning leader, author and changemaker. With warmth and wit, Bloom shared reflections on leadership, resilience and purposeful action, encouraging guests to embrace the ripple effect that comes from giving generously and lifting others along the way. The afternoon concluded with gratitude extended to the event sponsors whose support helped bring the celebration to life and reinforce the spirit of collaboration that defined the occasion.
