THE Gold Coast’s bar and social scene is set to ‘unlock’ a stylish new venue with The Vault Bar & Tapas set to open its door in June.

The venue will bring an upscale and sexy tapas-style bar to the heart of Broadbeach, offering a curated selection of high-end whiskey, cognacs and rums, as well as specialty cocktails and a range of international inspired tapas.

Nestled under the Phoenician Resort, the opulent black and glossy interior has an art deco feel, accented with glossy gold, the 7-metre-long bar acting as the centre piece of the venue, showcasing the premium drink selections on show with more than 75 bottles of whiskey, cognac, and rum.

The Vault founder Gopal Vadalia said he and his wife Ekta planned to create a laidback yet sophisticated venue which says classy but not pretentious for visitors to enjoy a craft beer, a signature whiskey or one of their signature cocktails.

“We wanted to create a contemporary, jazz-era inspired experience that will satisfy the thirst of our patrons whether they lean towards a timeless single malt whiskey or one of our expertly created cocktails,” said Gopal.

“You can expect to find your old favourites as well as top-shelf offerings such a 21-year-old Hibiki and an 18-year-old Yamazaki, with the most expensive bottles selling for up to $4,000,” said Gopal.

“We will also house the finest blends of Cuban cigars to take away and continue your Vault experience in the comfort of your own home,” he said.

The Vault Bar & Tapas will have capacity for up 150 people both indoors and outdoors, with front row seating for those wanting to watch bar staff mastering their art, and an alfresco area for those who wish to soak up the bustling Broadbeach social scene.

The Vault will deliver a contemporary tapas-style bar menu drawing inspiration from Gopal & Ekta’s travels from homeland India to North Carolina and now Australia, featuring dishes such as; Murgh makhana with pan fried Gnocchi to Crab Rangoon, and native Saltbush & mountain pepper fried squid.

Live music will be featured on weekends with a mixture of jazz and blues performers, DJ’s, soloist and duets playing until late.

The Vault will be opening in coming months and will be located at 90 surf parade, shop 21, Broadbeach QLD 4218.
