Beresford Wines Unveils the 2024 Emblem Pinot Noir

Beresford Wines is proud to unveil the 2024 Emblem Pinot Noir — a release that marks a new chapter for the label’s multi-regional program. With a focus on freshness, structure, and purity of fruit, this vintage offers a vibrant, food-friendly take on one of the world’s most expressive varietals.
Sourced from handpicked fruit across Kuitpo and Aldgate Estate Block in the Adelaide Hills, the wine reflects the hallmarks of high-altitude Pinot: bright acidity, fine tannins, and lifted aromatics. Its medium ruby hue and red-fruit profile — layered with wild berries, herbs, and dried rose — is a direct result of Beresford’s site-specific approach and commitment to minimal intervention.

“There’s a real clarity to this wine — it’s light on its feet, but carries intense flavour and length. We wanted to create something that feels considered but unpretentious, you can pair it with food or pouring a glass on a Sunday afternoon,” says Chad Smith, winemaker at Beresford Estate.
Tasting Profile: Fresh, Layered, Versatile
● Colour: Vibrant medium ruby
● Bouquet: Floral notes of rose petals and dried lavender, with hints of forest floor, crushed herbs and a touch of spice from seasoned French oak
● Palate: Bright cranberry, sour cherry, and pomegranate, underpinned by bright acidity and a long finish
“Pinot Noir is a true reflection of place, and the 2024 vintage has everything we love about the Adelaide Hills — the altitude, the perfume, the freshness and the finesse.” Perfect Pairings
The Emblem Pinot Noir’s crisp acidity and fruit-driven characters make it incredibly versatile at the table. It pairs effortlessly with:
● Duck breast with cherry and red wine glaze
● Mushroom risotto with truffle oil
● Grilled trout with herbed butter
● Prosciutto, gruyère and charcuterie boards
Its medium body and fine structure also make it an excellent choice for year-round drinking — chilled slightly in warmer months or decanted in winter for added depth.
